Tamiya Tt-01 Bodies..

Hi..

As you probably guessed, I have a TT-01 chassis. I wanted to buy a second body for it (to keep my Subaru 2007 WRC all nice !!), and was wondering what bodies fit OK.

Does the HPI Saleen S7R Body (190mm) fit OK, or is the 8084087 Tamiya Nismo GTR - Painted (190mm) better ?

The other one Ive looked at is the 9663 MERCEDES CLK GTR D2 190MM 1/10 ELEC BODY that Ive seen on Ebay..

What fits ?????

Advise if you can. I assume its probably quite common to do

All those bodies will fit.

Virtually any touring car size body will fit on every touring car chassis. Any shell listed as 190mm will fit fine. There are some exceptions such as the lowline bodies Tamiya have started making for their TA05IFS chassis, but the odd ones are usually easy to spot.

Anything will fit, but a Tamiya body will be more convenient, since the locations for the mounting posts will be correct, and in a lot of cases the holes are even drilled for you.

The HPI and other shells are meant to be more universal, so you'll have to locate the posts yourself. It's not hard, but it is an extra step.

I think I'll go for the HPI Saleen 190mm body in black after Christmas - 'Looks cool !!! (And a pitty Tamiya don't do one..)
