meadowhall car park

sunday the 27th

1800hrs

hi is the meadowhall meet still on if the weather is ok cheers

Doh... just been told I am going out on sunday so sorry guys!

rain, rain go away, come again another day.

if it keeps raining anything like today, i'd say its off. even undercover the carpark will be a washout.

i'll pop down to meadowhall on sunday morning and check it out. though my mate who works at meadowhall reckons the security will be on us like a shot. if its dry enough we'll give it a go.

oh yeah, meadowhall shops shut at 1730hrs on sunday, so 1800hrs is still good.

Also, out the back of meadowhall is a small (good for r/c) BMX track. Looks perfect but not tried it yet. Looks rubish for bmx but good for us.

i know where the BMX track is round the back of meadowhall, the one one the bottom of concord park (i think). though i don't have an off roader. this is an on-road meet.

Ive spotted somewhere else that may be good.

If meadowhall boot us out, and its raining so we cant use darnal car park, how about the old airfield?

Not been in yet but you can get in on foot and theres a big open hanger. It may be way too dark and the surface might not be too good but ill try and check this week.

Finding somewhere undercover and lit where we wont get grief may be tricky, especialy if i bring the bike.

the arena overflow car park sounds best as theres no raised curbs to smash into lol so aslong as its not raining we can go up a bit earlier than 6 if its never used add your name if you can make it and a rough time

car access to the side road is at arrow shown. :)

maybe we should agree on a time, cos batteries don't last forever...

if its lit we have no problem.

i only have 2 different frequencies on my main car 27.075 and 27.045 Mhz am, and 40.885 Mhz am on my kerb basher. ;)

alrite guys im sparkys bro i drove past the car park tonite (i think it was the right one) theres quite a few around the arena ..anyway they all seem to be flood lit and quite open so shud be ok if not on the way bk home going north under the tinsley viaduct on my left i noticed another big floodlit car park that was huge and empty so that cud be usfull.

Ive just packed all my stuff up, but i only have 2 crystal sets, green and yellow, cant remember what frequencies they are :D

Anyhow, it will be the first test of my drifter and ill bring the bike too because it needs setting up and will give me something to do when my only battery goes flat ;)

yeah, nice to what other people are running n that. i need to get more drift control before i think about trying to drift with others cars. it would be good to get some sort of track marked out though. i was going abit mad going round and round that football. ha ha

oh yeah ...and more batteries!!!
