A simple poll, do you race your RC's? I race on road, but I am seriously considering just leaving racing all together and just doing laps at my local tracks at my leisure. I personally have grown tired of the attitudes against Tamiya products, and while the driver means more than the car in most races I just don't have the time to dedicate to keeping my car in tip top for racing, nor the energy to deal with the egos.

I'll probably just run my cars with my daughter around some car parks and do practice runs at my local tracks for on and off road. I'm in the hobby to have fun and the stress of racing just isn't as much fun to me as it used to be.

What do you do?

My RC driving skills do not qualify me to be in any race. In public track, I generally introduce the front or the back end of my RC to curbs or walls, thus I normally run them in OPEN fields where possible damages are substantially reduce.

I normally just bash in a local shopping centre carpark,

or on the Local 'public access' rc track during the mid week while everyone else is at work.

But since I just bought a TRF415MSXX MRE07, I'll be racing soon with the local club

I no longer have the time to spend whole Sundays club racing anymore, so that's pretty rare.

But i still like going to the tracks for an hour or 3, going very fast.

Or better still at the Velodrome, going even faster :D

Then i hang around our local RC Drift crowd too - bashing? drift comps? promos at 1:1 drift events

Occasional bashing around the park grass with DF03 or WR02 especially when friends' young kids are around.

Every now & then the Savage gets an airing when only us big kids are all alone.

In terms of frequency... most common would be running (testing) something in the loungeroom & corridor.

Just about every day something gets fixed up and needs a quick run to make sure its all good again.

I raced as a kid, first Tamiya - then I wanted to win, so moved to a Schumacher pro-cat!!

I'd love to race off road electric again, but, other hobbies (shooting and 1:1 cars) along with my kids means I can't commit to hitting an entire race calendar and preparing the cars to race ready each fortnight.

These days just bashing.

bashed as a kid, moved on to racing the "pro brands" before losing interest in high school.

re-entered the hobby as I caught wind of the F-350 3-speed as I've never had, but always wanted a Bruiser. long story short, I don't race anymore and after several impulse buys i'm proud to be a basher.

I bash nowadays. My wife and I set up a course around a baseball diamond and race old-school stuff (mostly Hornet vs. Frog). I'm thinking of going to a actual track again just for practice. My wife is really into the idea so of course this gives me a reason (ok, excuse! :( ) to buy more capable track cars. I got an Avante MKII and she'll be getting a Dirt Thrasher for Christmas which should be a little more controllable than her Hornet. I don't intend to actually race though. My day job sucks the life out of me leaving little patience left for the anti-Tamiya attitude prevalent in off-road. I got enough of that racing my Vanquish back in my younger days.
