Hi all,

Just bought Mini shell. It is painted in British Racing Green. I want a white roof to depict the Mini Cooper of the era but as it is a polycarbonate body, does anyone know of any paint i can spray on the outside of the shell without it coming off. I want it to look right and not end up spoling the body. I understand there is some paint sold in B & Q (polycote?) that's pretty good but i do not knoe if i can use ot on polycarbonate. Anyone else sprayed a polycarbonate shll on the outside??

Thought about using fablon as a last resort.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated..

Happy Christmas!!

painting on the outside will work - although it will provide a dull, undurable finish

you could try stripping the roof but i think you would end up stripping it all!

i would be wary about using other paints as lexan is not that forgiving, and can react to quite a few things!

i nice vinyl would cover it - there is also an optional union jack hop-up decal?

or mini shells are that cheap, why not run yours and paint a new one to how you want it? (check the dealers on here for good priced bodies)
