My Kyosho Ultima Rb

Recommended Posts

hello all i got a kyosho ultima rb nitro ..... i recently removed the old engine and replaced it with an o.s.max 15 cv http://www.osengines.com/engines/osmg2010.html .... this 1 ....

i also put a 19tooth front clutch bell onto in stead of the 14tooth standered 1 (to try and gear it down a little)also fitted with race clutch barings and a mtx race exhaust (front section) lightened flywheel with 3 plate clutch but the only problem i seem to be getting is i keep burning clutches out .i mean they only lasting 30-40 mins

..i think its down to too much wheelspin has any 1 had this trouble with this type of car or can any 1 recomend a good clutch i cud use as buying a clutch every time i take the car out takes the biscit :D .. or does any 1 know how to stop the wheelspin ive tried softening and hardening my shocks and springs....

thanx for any replys or help with this problem it ...could save me a lot of money ......... i also have quite a few standered spares for this car including the original decals tha came with the car that i never fitted tha mite be use full for a swap (wink wink ) for a clutch :):P:P

like they say u dnt ask u dnt get

Ok, it sounds like you're overgeared. I would try a 15 or 16 tooth clutch bell as a 19 tooth is probably too much for the clutch to handle. Also, it probably causing the excessive wheelspin.

i`v sorted the problem i had a friend of mine build me a 6mm galvenised chassi ( better then the light alloy 1 ) bit more waight but it is a lot better at speed and it suit`s the car perfect ..i kept the 19tooth sprocket on the front and 3plate clutch with the standerd clutch spring
