Hey everybody,

I am not really experianced in the R/C scene, but I know my way arround tools and stuff. So besides like some of the standard springs and ball bearings I find on ebay, what other stuff could I fit on a dagger? is there any way to lift it more? or maybe the opposite?

Can anybody fill me in a bit on what I can do on this car, or what you have done on it?

thnx,

Ikqu

Well, first, do you have full bearings? You could try adding larger 4 inch shocks using an aftermarket shocktower. That will give you more suspension travel. Maybe a hotter motor, better tires, the list is endless.

ebay should have the alloy shock towers ,to use e/t maxx 4inch shocks.also theres alloy arms ,universal drive shafts ,alloy knuckles.

also you can get alloy/carbon chassis's.

look at this thread.

i have a dual hunter which is the same chassis.

at the bottom of the page is some pics of the alloy twin battery chassis and details of where to get it.

right away I'd recommend 4" shock towers.

These are good, and delivery is fast and reasonable:

You need to order two of, to do front and rear. If memory serves they come with all the parts required but I think I had to use some additional screws, as they're designed to be used with the metal arms not the standard plastic ones. I might be wrong tho, it's an easy job to fit them. Then you can fit 4" adjustable shocks, so you can tune the chassis to your requirements. I have Yeah! Racing 4" alloy shocks on mine (also bought from RCMart) which aren't the best looking shock in the world, but are very well priced and seem to work just fine.

Ground clearance is immediately improved. Because of this I would also recommend CVDs (again, available from RCMart). Remember to buy two sets to do front and rear. CVDs are supposedly more efficient at transferring power than regular dogbones, but they also handle bigger suspension movement without popping out and don't bind so easily on full lock / full extension.

I just ordered parts from RCMart on standard air freight and they arrived to the UK within 6 days. That's faster than some UK shops B)

Enjoy :D
