blitzer621 0 Posted January 13, 2008 I took my motor off and tried to clean the gears including the gear box. I greased everything put it all back together and now it sounds like a cat stuck in a lawnmower. Any ideas as to what I might have done wrong? I did not take the motor itself apart, can't. Old Skool 0 Posted January 13, 2008 Leon, Check the mesh of the pinion gear to the spur gear it sound like you got it too tight. I ues a piece of paper to set it. Dale
blitzer621 0 Posted January 13, 2008 I took everything (gear wise) apart, cleaned it with W-D 40. Greased it all with fishing reel grease (only thing I had) and reassembled it. The parts look brand new going to take it out later today.I tried it while it was still on the stands, it sounded a WHOLE lot better, but, again that was without resistance.
