these things are sweet, one my cousins brought a mzda mx-5 one back from japan at xmas,

with the high speed gear set in they really motor!! plus they've got a speed boost button on top of the controller!

I got one of each of these Q Steer buggies for Christmas from eBay. They are pretty cute, and fun for a bit of table top racing if you have any bench space beside your 1/10th project(s). They recharge in about 1 minute (which amazed me, but then I've never had these mini R/C things before), and each charge seems to last about 15-20 mins. Need to be gentle with them though, the little suspension and steering mechanisms are quite fragile.

On the top of the remote there's an additional button which basically acts as a turbo button.

Packaging is nice and very much looks like a collaboration between Tomy and Tamiya. Though unfortunately they're based on the rereleases (so they have the newer, fake decals).

I just got back from Japan and I saw these plus the Hot Shot, Avante and Boomerang versions that will be released soon. VERY cool and work great. Just $18 for the basic kits in most toy stores in JP or $42 for the frog with all the spares and the carry case.

Looks like they are made by Tomy, the inventors of the original tiny r/c *****ar-G cars, so they should be good. Has anyone seen the video of the advert? (It's available for download from the same site). Fantastic work, the way that they have blended the old 70's adverts with new footage of these baby buggies is brilliant!
