Optima - stunning looking car really fast, beautifully made and detailed but, spectacularly unreliable!

It was almost impossible to get the belt to run true so it would either come off or melt some part of the car which then cost a fortune to replace. Even the model shop couldn't get it sorted.

Poor handling?

The Tamiya Audi Quattro (580036) does handle like an high-rise on a skateboard - but I still like driving it! It is probably better than the Wild Willy, but at least the latter was called a stunt vehicle. Such a labeling at least imply you cannot expect great handling. The Audi did not prepare you for its poor handling before you entered the first corner...

In all fairness a stock FG monstertruck does not handle all that well either. I also know several Swedes who refer to the Kyosho Mad Force as the Soccerball, since turning at speed makes it cartwheel like a soccerball.

LOL LOL i love that description.."a high-rise on a skateboard" yes my Opel was just the same.... bit better with very soft springs from a hirobo 44b on the back, it would pick up a front wheel every corner you took , but thats how real rally cars were on the bitumen when they had "forest suspention"... i liked it, but the Hirobos and a mates Hotshot taught me what real handling was..........
