Hi,

Totally new to this and was wondering on what advice anyone could give me on what is the best car/kit to buy.

Looking for something to mess around with on the street, back garden etc to begin with....

A few years ago(about 15) i did have a remote control car but wasnt anything special. Around that time it was all the rage to have a hornet, grasshopper etc

So any help/advice would be much appreciated

Looking to spend around 100 pounds give or take a couple of quid...

If your looking for an on road car the best beginner one would be a TT-01. You can hop this up, although not by much to my knowledge. You can get some deals on the internet for about £140 - £160. A good place to look at the moment is www.timetunnelmodels.co.uk hope this is of some help to you.

i would tend to go for the TL01 chassis as it is good for beginners and intermidiate drivers. there are hop-ups for it and is 4wd and i found easy to build and maintain. what ever car you go for try and get one with an electric speed controler rather than mech as mech can be a right pain plus u loose power with them

I have a TT01 and admit its more of an entry level 4wd car, though i have spent a bit on it!

Hop ups are readily available via ebay as thats where i get all mine, plus its simple to build/maintain, bonus!!

But as mentioned, ditch the mechSC and invest in a good ESC!

Hi!

Im beginner too. I am planning to buy TB01 chassis kit. IS this chassis good? Im looking for both rally and on road rc car that could withstand basic obstacles like dusts, sand etc.

And I have a question regarding radio controller, which one should I buy for a beginner? Futaba 2ER (stick type, cheaper) or Futaba 2PHKA (gun type, more expensive)?

Thank you very much!
