:D I have just paid my Taxes online and was wondering what the Government would spend my drop in the ocean on? :D

Perhaps some speech therapy for Gordon, well I don't mean to be rude but it's not just the boring mono-tones, he pushes his tongue down into his cheek after every word as well!. ;)

Or perhaps the money could be used to convince the Defence Secretary to go go full time instead of part time as we do seem to have TWO WARS going on at the moment! I wonder what he gets up to when he's off?

Or maybe it could get the Home Secretary some more Kebabs! She looks like she likes a Peckham Donner to me! Chili or mint sauce Madam?

Any other suggestions Guys? ;)

Don't even get me started on taxes

:)

I know when you want one you cant get one, and when you do get when they drive you round the houses!!!

Charge the earth too, can't eat, can't drink, can't smoke can't look at the driver in a funny way.

Oh not that sort of taxi's

not really taxes but something that really really annoys my is the new LEZ (low emisions zone) how can they really get away with charging stupid amounts for higher engined vehicles to drive in the greater london area, my dad drives a fairly old 4dr toyota hilux and in a few years he is going to either sell it or move out of london, sorry but we don't have the money to go out and buy a brand new car and how many companies are going to have to buy a whole new fleet of vans, also certain fire enginges will have to pay!!, also 2door pickups don't have to pay only 4doors???? sorry if anything a 4door is better as you can carry more passengers, i detest ken livingstone with a passion :)

Rant over :P

:D Did you see dispatches about Ken on Channel 4 the other night? Very enlightening! I see he likes a drop of whiskey while at work amongst other things, maybe my Taxes could be used on that, oh sorry forgot he only gets the poll tax and New Labour gets the rest! I think maybe it's time we vote for some one else Guys! :P

One thing that gets me thinking is where are all the new electric cars? We all know as modellers that electrics can be as fast if not faster than fossil fuel cars... The only ones we see at the moment are the G-Wizz, are the big factories going to keep making fossil fuel cars until the fuel runs out? Oh sorry forgot Ken has got us some cheap fuel from Mr Chavez and all we have to do is be socialists and call Ken "Chairman Livingstone" from now on!

A high percentage of taxes is spent on "figure manipulation" in order to create more reasons for further new taxes and tax cost increases... its a pretty clever system they got running in the house of the elite.

In the words of the famous Billy Connoly: " I don't vote, it only encourages them"

The problem with voting is that it doesnt matter who you vote for, the goverment always gets in. :P

I once went out with a girl that was in charge of street lighting for the local council, near the end of the year they would replace stuff that was fine, just to make sure they spent their budget, and hence could justify the budget for the following year...

Sadly, this is no surprise at all. Such actions are standard practice in just about every single public sector organisation. In some cases, it's done by jobsworths who are attempting to justify their existence. Quite frankly it's apalling but it isn't going to stop. God only knows how much cash haemhorrages out of our tax 's this way...

B) I know a guy who supplies cooking oil to the trade and has a waste licence to take the waste oil away. He told me that he was very reluctant to sell his Ford Transit because it ran really well on 50% clean untreated cooking oil mixed with Diesel in the summer and 30% in the winter with no mods at all to the engine etc. He has been doing it with no problems for 100000 miles plus. I was very sceptical at first but decided to try it in my xMOD 1991 Land Rover Defender 110 2500 NA (no turbo).

It ran fine all this last summer, slightly down on power, 8% or thereabouts, but only noticeable on the motorways which old Defenders arn't good at anyway. :D I only stopped using the veggie/Diesel mixture at the end of the summer because I missed that extra power on the motorway desperately! The ability for "Holding hill" being slightly down.

It did smell like a doughnut fryer though! Lovely! :D

I did some research online and the reason that the power is slightly down is that you get less "bangs per buck" with veggie oil, but this would only be noticeable on cars that struggle on motorways anyway. I also found opinion that sludging of the fuel pump and wear generally would be increased within the engine. Also certain Lucas fuel pumps, I think, wouldn't work at all but most pumps would work...

The other day my mate with the chip oil Transit told me that his injectors, fuel pump, fuel filter and fuel lines had become blocked with sludge and it cost 900 to put right! :( He is now worried about piston slap...

He had done 130000 miles on the mixture. I know that it's now legal to do this but if you have a cherished Diesel vehicle and do a lot of miles I wouldn't try it, well not for long periods anyway! ;)

Please note this is not proper Bio Diesel with a heated pump conversion but straight vegtable oil (SVO) intended for frying your fish and chips! I got some proper funny looks pouring cooking oil into my tank at Tescos!

I hope no one has told Chairman Ken! He would put a surcharge on it! Up the workers!

I know death and taxes are two subjects no one like and are unavoidable.

To get the most of your tax dollars is to utilize whatever the government offers like liberary, sports facilities, school, parks and other government subsidized facilities like art gallery, museum, or special events.

The other alternative is to move to a tax free country but they may not let you in or there is no job.

Somehow make the best out of the situation.

Cheers
