North East Meet

Hello Guys,

I know this thread has been done but does anyone fancy meeting up for a race(bash!) about.

Could be a car park, or Croft race circuit if we can get in!

Getting bored looking at all my models need to get out and use them, also just found out we don't race cars in Darlington anymore, gutted.

Hi Guys,

Ducatikid, I feel the same mate. We put a lot of time and effort in to these, we should get out and use them more. I'm over in Yarm, but would more than happy to meet up and on-road/off-road bash. I know a few areas around my locality to go but would be will to meet anywhere really and just have fun for a couple of hours.

People can either PM or civ email - b15njh@hotmail.com if they fancy a meet. I think a few more would come out the woodwork if we publish some shots on the club site.

Im up for a meet dude's but can you all remove your e-mail address & telephone numbers from the posts. Its way to dangerous these days to put your infomation on the internet there's 'bots' i believe there called that once they found your e-mail address you'll get hounded by stupid *** e-mail junk always post as user at company dot com etc just keeping you all safe!

Hi all,

Ducatikid and I are looking at having a North East meeting on the Sunday the 9th of March at the industrial within Ingbly Barwick (It was gonna be this sunday but apparntly iy's Mothersday...). I'm compiling some google earth maps of the area to help people get there and show you the area.

The main area is a quite car park that backs on to a large grassed area (which is kept short), I take my cars up there most weekends and its normally very quite. The car park is quite large and made of smooth tarmac suitable for all cars, the grassed area is suitable for buggys, truggys and trucks (if the grass has been cut you can manage a touring car on rally blocks). Theres also a very long straight if anyone fancies just speed runs and bashing.

Hopefully I can bring down my childrens skate ramp, some cones and marker tape and mark of a bit of track, again the same on the car park to make a bit of touring car track. I will be bringing a number of touring cars, buggys, hilift and Blazer.

If anyone would like directions and maps sending, pm myself or use my email (which is in an early post in this thread) and I will send you directions etc. Not sure what time but will make it suitable for all.

Really hope a few of us from the NE can get together, looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi All,

This Sunday is still on (9 March 08) if any one would like to come down (or up), 12 o'clock on the industrial estate in Ingleby Barwick. Will hopefully lay down a touring car track and grass/dirt track and enjoy the day! If you need directions drop me a mail or PM and I'll get you there.

I am very interested in meeting up and running the Tamiyas I have, a Terra Scorcher (3 of them), a TT01 Ford Escort and a TRF501X.

I can also bring my non Tamiyas (Schumacher CAT 2000, RC10 B4 FT, Lazer ZXR-R).

The area Happy Harry found was spot on, easy to get to and great for the cars. It would be great to see the 501 going, i'm thinking of getting something more modern after the Turbo Optima MID lost a couple of bits!

Would be good to get a few more people together if we can.

Would be very glad to have you along, will post up new dates soon for the next meet so hope you can make it. As Lee said, I think we have an area that suits most types of vehicles, and is not too hard to find. Will hopefully post up new dates soon that suit all.

Hi Chris,

Yes, your in the right area with the lighting factory! We are just around the corner from the factory, tucked away on the side of the estate. I live on Ingleby so it's 5min drive for me too.

We met up on the Sunday just gone, but will be meeting up again in April (yet to come up with a date but will post up times etc). Will PM all on this thread when I can.

Hi Chris,

Last meet we ran all electric, vintage and modern. Buggys, touring cars and a couple of trucks. Petrol would be fine, we are more than far enough away from housing etc. Bring the noise!

I run electric. I will have a mentally fast kyosho ZX5 and a b4. Do you all pre-charge before turning up or charge using a 12v car battery?

I've been looking at the ZX5 so will be looking forward to seeing that. We had a laugh with my Turbo Optima MID, still jumps really well. We usually have everything ready to go when we get there, and bring battery chargers.

Hi All,

Just a reminder that the 2nd North East Meet will be taking place tomorrow from midday onwards. Location will be the Inglby Barwick Industrial estate, I will bring some ramps, cones and track markers, on and off road welcome, electric and noise welcome. Really hope some of you guys can make it.

If anyone needs directions etc please drop me a mail or pm, I will check forum and email accounts all day.

Ducati kid, hope you have your B4 going, made a few changes to my DI and will hopefully give you a run for your money, also finished my Super Camp so will run with your Astute!

Sorry I was a no show, I smashed my lazer chassis in half and am awaiting to get paid to get a new one. I am also fitting in my driving lessons. It soon adds up.

Sorry to hear about the car mate sounds nasty! We're not quite snapping chassis yet but the driving is pretty bad (only joking Neil)

We're hoping to get back over in May, we'll keep you posted, hopefully i'll have a brushless in the B44 and the grassed area will be dry.
