Convert 75mhz radio to other freq?

Just bought a car in from the States and it came with a futaba Magnum radio set up running at 75mhz.

Now this is illegal to use in the UK, so is there any way to convert it to another frequency?

Basically no. 27mhz gear is fairly cheap though so it isn't the end of the world. A reciever could be as little as £15 while a transmitters start at about £13 for Acoms. A full Acoms setup including servos would be around £40.

depends where u look i got my Acoms for £35 your right about the Recievers though i can't find them cheaper than £15 unless your looking on the bay
