Anyone waiting for Kamtec shells?

Just wondering if anyone else was waiting for a shell from Kamtec?,. Im awaiting a Frog repro shell and its taking a while

kamtec might be (sometimes) a bit slow with the body's ,

but... You will get your body in the end, no doubt about that.

My mates been waiting 4 weeks, 3 of which with no reply to emails from Kamtec.

Just been in contact with Keith and he i promising to get your orders out asap.

I asked in my email if he was dead and the reply was :

"Just about alive!!! Trying to catch up. New years res was to keep up. Doing my best. Can only get better. Please reassure anyone I am doing my best.

Can't stand unhappy customers and want to avoid it. The only good thing is it must have potential if I am this **** and still selling stuff"

ordered my shells on the 7th and had email on the 12th saying they were getting despatched today, seems quick enough to me. these arn't the easyest bits to get these days, perhaps we should just be greatfull we can still get them at all? i find that if people grumble too much, then people like kieth start to think its not worth the stress then we all suffer. as long as we do get them, thats the main thing isn't it?

He is selling these on ebay as new items. If he hasnt got them in stock he shouldnt be advertising them for sale let alone putting more up on ebay for sale before he has sent out existing orders.. He has now contacted my mate which is good. His grumble wasnt exactly because he never got his body it was because he sent many emails with no reply. I know he is a mate of a few people in here but you have to admit if you didnt know him like we dont and you were tret the same from anyone else on ebay you wouldnt be happy either. After all you waited 5 days to get a reply my mate waited nearly 4 weeeks. Ive seen bad feedback left for people for a lot less. I think he has a little reason to 'grumble' dont you?

Anyway he has made contact now so hopefully it will all get sorted now. [^]

Yup add me to that list, have been waiting since Dec 29th for a RR and SS shell. I to got the email on the 12th of Jan promising they were going out that day 1st class mail and still no sign of them. Keith has now finally answered my many emails today promising again i will get them this week. on top of that I have just bought his old school VW bug body off ebay also (God it looks good and fits the M chassis?). (am i a gluten for punishment or what!). Like I told Keith most users don't mind so much if you run into issues, but its when you don't delivery when promised,answer emails and advertise products for sale on ebay (as he did last night) as available and still I have not got my shells starts to really get on ones nerves.

Here's hoping they do come this week cause i want to get working on the paint and hope to order many more!!

My 959 bodyset arrived yesturday (19th Jan), sent cheque off on the 6th Jan and received email from Keith on the 18th saying it was being dispatched 1st Class. No grumbles here, great service.

Well, another week has now gone by and still no Rough Rider,Sand Scorcher or VW split window body........ and no recent replies to emails. Both numbers on the website are invaild. don't suppose anyone has a contact number for Keith? Dazmeister could you give him a kick please?

Dunno whats going on, guys have ordered and paid by cheque after me and they have the goods already. I ordered end of last year pay instantly with paypal and stil nothing so far but empty promises.

Heck he's even advertised as of he 18th on ebay which implies he has stock.

I used to many years back vacuum form myself and it only takes approximatly 4 minutes to do a body!

Last resort will be to travel all the way to Bognor Regis and sort this out in person.

UPDATE!!

Igot my RR and SSbodies today!!! Yeah *happy dance* yup they thought it strange in the office also.

Has to be said the boy knows his stuff they are spot on, I got ABS shells this time and they are excellent. I would probably say if you was wanting a very detailed version of the SS then you'd want to go for the lexan as the thickness of the ABS tends to loose a little defintion (you can see how detailed it really is by looking at the level of detail inside the shell).

Only got one problem now, I only got the 2 I ordered a month ago, I wonder if I know have to wait the same amount of time to get the 2 I ordered last week (1 of which was a buy now on ebay)and assumed would be included along with these 2.

timet o get some decals from chris and get busy. I might get another SS shell and put it on my twin engine savage, sorta Zilla Scorcher!!

I ordered a 959 replica body yesterday and the mail contact was excellent. Now looking forward to hold it in in my hands! btw: anyone got some repro decals or original Racing ones for a decent price? (needed for this runner shell, so I can't afford too much)

whey, my ss and 12th imp came today[] i just bought a tamiya bmw mini cooper kit to use the chassis, width is fine but i need to shorten it by 2", bargain at £40 from lhs though, looked at one built up and told the owner it would fit but can't justify £99.00 to chop it up. he said "what about £40, cos i've got a load and no one wants em" so me and a colegue took one each. the bmw mini body is on the bay as we speek[8D]

I bought an avante body from him, and it arrived quickly, with no probs at all.[]. Got mine a while ago though, when there wasn't as much available. Guess he's a victim of his own success, as the bodies are of high quality, and as word spreads, us lot want more and more! It's understanderble that he will get a back log, but i'd say be patient, as you wont be dissapointed when your body arrives.[]

Well, I sent a PayPal payment to Keith on Jan 20th for VW shell, today is Feb 9th and after 3 emails I have heard nothing - no replies, no dispatch info. Obviously from reading the other messages it will get here eventually and I can wait (plenty of other things to be getting on with!) but the lack of communication is frustrating - and worrying.

I'm hoping it will be here soon.

I can understand people being busy but unfortunately I have to say so far I'm not too impressed, if life is that hectic maybe Keith shouldn't be advertising the bodies on the website or Ebay.

hi all

i orderd a frog shell from keith on ebay and after trying to order one from hin direct with no luck, i was expecting a long wait...

but 3 days later it turned up, and i must say the shell looks as good as an origanal.

i will be getting more shells from keith but from ebay instead of direct..
