Anyone waiting for Kamtec shells?

Ordered a 959 body on Jan 26th through Ebay. Paid the same day and got positive feedback on 27th. Today: Feb 16th and still waiting for that shell....

dont despair, i ordered 2 shells and they took ages to come but they are worth the wait and look cool[8D]i will soon be ordering my 959 shell so delivery has not put me off, you kind of forget that you ordered them then its a nice suprise when they turn up out of the blue[]

Ahhhh well.......25th February and still nothing. No emails, no bodyshell, no nothing.

Dazmeister, I don't know if you're reading this thread but if you are can you pass a message to Keith please - something along the lines of if I don't hear something in the next 7 days I'll be asking for my money back.

He'll be getting an email from me on similar lines anyway, but is apparrently too busy to take any notice.

Sorry to seem impatient or dramatic but this isn't fair - if he's too busy to make and send the body he shouldn't have taken my order or my money. He was quick enough to accept my PayPal payment, what a shame he's not so keen to uphold his end of the deal.

I have also given his website address to other people who were interested when I said I had ordered the bodyshell, let's hope they won't be so let down if they decide to order.

I bought a mk2 escort shell from kamtec, no response about ten days dispite emails.

Then one day i noticed he had listed a 959 shell about 30 mins ago so guessing he would be online i used the 'ask a seller a question' function on his items for sale....all 12 0f them!!! and asked him to get in touch with my email address. Bit cheeky but hey, i wanted to know what was goin on.

Had a response within the hour[]

I must add the body came about two days later, and it was a special order for a clear version, the quality was good and Keith is a very polite guy to deal with.

Maybe he needs to realise that we don't mind waiting a bit as long as we have conformation. It is an Ebay rule afterall to make contact within 3 days.

There is nothing worse than the silence[!][!] especially when you have already paid for stuff.

And who ever said he should not list it if he has'nt made it yet is dead right!![^]

Well, after some confusion with my order I have my bodyshell from Keith at last

It was unfortunate that it was delayed but I'm very pleased with the quality of the body and I'm sure it will look great on the truck when it's painted.

I think I just happened to time my order with a difficult time for Keith which was the reason for the delay, but I can't fault the quality of the body and would still recommend Kamtec

Think yourselves very lucky. I sent Keith 2 shells and stickers (a PIAA porsche and Mini Cooper) to copy...in NOVEMBER 2004 and I've heard very little back from him about them. As far as I am awair he has been really busy at work and has had to put the bodys on the sidelines for a while. But if he is still selling new items on Ebay recently then that's really not on. I have been waiting near 10 months to get my shells back that I was good enough to loan him in the first place. Ok I know that might sound harsh but come on that is taking the micky ever so slightly. I dunno how many emails I've sent and messages I've left on his phone(s) with no reply. I made contact about two months ago and was promised they would be shipped by the end of the week, then I phoned him last month.... again the would be shipped by that weekend without fail. Nuthin. I even emailed his girlfriend to find out what was going on and she said she would post them out - that was three weeks ago now. [xx(]

This is made even more of a shame because he did produce 6 excellent mini cooper s shells for me very quickly from the moulded mini I sent him. The results were awsome and Keith was a great guy to deal with during that project... then he decided he would vanish for a while.

So what do I do now? I have a Porsche 911 GT1 that took me months to track down NIB that I can't finish and a friend who has paid me for a mini shell that I can't give him back. To say I'm P**sed off is an understatement.

Any update on what is going on with that Dazmeister?
