OK, bought a Tamiya TEU-103 BK ESC for twin motors and want to install it in my Clod Buster.

The Clod Buster has a slide switch for 2 different power settings - High power or Low power which gives longer battery life.

Not exactly sure how that works but probably a resistor or something ???

Question is, how do I connect the Hi-Lo switch into the circuit with the TEU-103 ? Or should I forget about the Hi-Lo switch ?

Don't want to damage the ESC or motors !

Thanks.

I have the same speed control in a twin detonator and runs fine :-) it also supposed to work in the TXT-1

From what I can remember of the clod buster I would have thought it best just to remove the Hi-Lo switch as it won’t help any with a ESC

the hi-lo switch does nothing more than cleverly change the configuration from parallel (hi) to series (lo) wiring. it's your choice to retain it or lose it. if you're a frequent user of it, keep it in line and sever the wires from the msc and migrate them to the esc. and if you intend on losing it, just wire the motors directly to the esc in parallel keeping note of the inverted poles at the front end (so they run in the same direction)
