I have a large project on the go and need about 60 led’s for a trailer and 20 for the rig

Has anyone got any good suppliers in mind for the UK as Maplin will not be to good on price and I’m not sure about the quality of the ones off ebay

Thanks for the info

Never realised the rectangular led’s where so cheap

Now the question is can I be bothered filing out about 60 holes in the alloy of the truck or do I go the easy rout and stick with round lights

Anyone know it the rectangular one emit less light?

Check the viewing angles if they are specified. The rectangular types do usually have an opaque finish but like all leds, the quality varies enormously, with some of the cheaper ones having a very narrow voltage tolerance and viewing angle whatever shape, again specifications really need to be checked as they might not work with the Tamiya light units, so it may be advantageous to build a simple voltage regulator.

My plan was to run the extra led's as separate circuit so as to make things simple

I think with the price of them I just buy both types and see what works out best

Thanks for the help
