Many guys I know have had the same problems with Bboykorea382. This seller has lots of good items at good prices, but I never trusted him and so I never ordered a thing from him.

I'm living in Santiago de Chile, far down in South America, and I got a High-Lift from a Hong Kong dealer last April. I wasn't accustomed to order things as expensive as this truck from overseas, but decided to give it a try. At first, my TC buddy, Crash Cramer, told me Stellamodels was the best seller. Well, I tried to get it from Stella but after three e-mails they decided not to sell me. So I sent a question about shipping costs to RC Empire and that was it. For $424, ten days after that first e-mail I received the box, marked as a gift and valued at $50. No delays, no custom ****, just the brand new fresh-factory High-Lift kit ready for me to lay my hands all over it.

Been a good eBayer since 1998 and to this day I still have 100% positive feedback. I know most of you have hade good experiences with Stellamodels, but if I ever buy another new kit, I'll go directly to RC Empire.

Y'all have a great weekend!

He'll be back :( If I remember correctly he was xxzieyland (SP??) before bboykorea382

xxseiyalegend... :D The git still owes me 5 Tamiya 2400SP Zapped batteries from when he was still going by that user name. I got the first one but didn't get the other five that I'd ordered. He got kicked off eBay soon after I added my complaint to the fast growing list of that time. Lost about 100 that time. :)  It's sad to see he got back onto eBay to do this again and again.

Warning to all, He is back :)

With those DSR's I'm very surprised ebay have let him continue trading.

Please do not buy things from him, no matter how cheap they are. You will either, never receive anything, or it will come crushed (Incredibly poor packaging) or it will take 6-12 weeks to arrive.

Antony

I am more surprised that people still buy from him :)

Reading his feedbacks it seems he is still up to his old tricks of some brown paper around the original Tamiya box!

His response to someone who complained was "You should have said if you wanted to re-sell" - yeah cos thats the only reason we dont want crushed boxes!

i wish i saw this earlier, but i bought a dt-02 ball diff from this guy.

then i read this. i was worried.

i am pleased to say that it arrived today in good condition. it was wrapped in cheap brown paper, but arrived unripped (opened by customs and re taped).

i guess i got lucky. i will not buy from him again. i buy 95% of my stuff from stella.

I guess people still buys from him is either his prices are good or not available from other sellers. What he should put down...if better packaging is required, please add another $10.00 or whatever. I think he is working like retail where you go and buy it and the goods will be placed in a bag of some sort.

I had to buy from bboykorea382 because nobody else had item I was interested for. I bought a brand new Tamiya 2009 english catalogue, about two weeks ago.

That's the first and the last thing I bought from him. I'm not satisfied with communication and he did not gave me tracking number, even though I choose registered air mail shipping.

Hmmm, was just having a look at things I was watching and noticed that within the last couple of hours that he has become "Not a registered user".

We shall have to keep our eyes out for his new name! I think this will be his fourth, previous ones being, "idealwarspirit" and "subarustidude".

Mud.

If only! Sadly he is still alive, kicking and trading under the infamous bboy id. Here's a link to his current items

I lost a small amount to this guy a long time ago and went through pretty much the same as many members here. It certainly hasn't put me off eBay (hey, I like vintage Tamiyas, I NEED eBay) but it has made me more careful about where I buy.

It's all about doing your research and protecting yourself.

I thought I'd set up some phantom ebay accounts. (I own several domains).

Buy a number of items from him on each account (which I want anyway, in case he comes good) and leave negative feedback as soon as the items were overdue by 3 days.

REMOVED the negative feedback for accounts which I won't ever use.

Worst case is I lose a few dollars. Best case is I drive this REMOVED off ebay.

He ripped me off for a Porsche R/C kit which I never saw and made excuses till Paypal refunded me on some Lotus kits I REALLY wanted.

One other trick he uses, is to bait you that you don't know how to close a dispute and keep the dialog up until Ebay closes it automatically after 25 responses, their reasoning is that if you you didn't fix it by then you're not going to.

This guy needs some positive action to close him down.

I keep an eye on any of his auction and email any bidders with a warning and the address of this thread. I think that helps.

Don't get away from the fact that this guy is as much a thief as someone who walks into your home and takes what they can carry. Probably more so because he is stealing your time and something that you are really interested at the moment and therefore deflating your enthusiasm.

I say crucify the REMOVED .

To everyone;

Please keep this topic factual and away from lynch-mobbing

Accounts set up for vigilante bidding etc. are going to do nothing to stop people intent on ripping others off, and posting such comments here is only going to 'inflame' opinion here, it will achieve nothing in the 'real' world.

What will help is that when members realise this guy is trading again, they report it here and report any suspicious activity to ebay - that's all that will make the difference - stop people bidding on his stuff and make ebay aware.

Frankly, buying items from a rip-off merchant just to leave negative feedback seems to me to be the daftest thing ever suggested :)

Vigilance is what will stop people wasting their money, not vigilanteism - If this guy IS prepared to steal your money, a few bad words is hardly going to make him lose any sleep, and by the time you've waited for your goods not to arrive, he's already ripped a load more people off.

Two things immediately spring to mind here.

One is a quote by Einstein...

"The trouble is not the bad people in the world but

the good people who do nothing about them"

The second is the story of the boy who cried Wolf.

We all remember that...

This dropkick has made a habit of stealing from people so I'll report him even when he doesn't steal and no one will believe him.

He owes me a few hundred now and I'm very upset with him and will actively go after him, as the ebay system obviously let's him get away with it

Sitting here on a forum having a winge about him cannot do a thing except give people a place to vent. 99.9% of his customers probably have never heard of these forums.

He has chosen to consciously and systematically rip people off, I am merely going to consciously and systematically return the favour.

"posting such comments here is only going to 'inflame' opinion here, it will achieve nothing in the 'real' world." I have to agree, a comment here does nothing except entertain the forum subscibers, if he gets some of his own back "in the real world" he'll cease and desist. This thread only exists because people ARE INFLAMED.

"Frankly, buying items from a rip-off merchant just to leave negative feedback seems to me to be the daftest thing ever suggested" How else do you suggest? The money is not a real issue for me I have more than sufficient. I'll spend a hundred or so for the greater good and see some justice.

Just sit back and let him keep doing it is what you recommend? Don't rock the boat? Sounds like you subscribe to the Neville Chamberlain school of diplomacy. There will be people who will buy from him and get ripped off, removing him is the only option, expensively if possible. This thread didn't start from one our two bad deals but HUNDREDS. To be honest I find your response conciliatory and insipid. Doing nothing achieves just that, nothing. If these forums exist only to stroke one another for warm and fuzzies then I'm obviously in the wrong place.

I didn't say 'do nothing' I said keep the posts factual.

Whipping up a torch-wielding bunch of villagers will do nothing on TC, warning TC members of his new IDs whenever they are known, will.

If you want to waste your money paying off some guy to continue rripping people off, press on, you're just the kind of guy he's been looking for :)

OK, I'm ready to add my name to the bboykorea's victims ;)

He gave me someone else's tracking ID. Hopefully I paid with PayPal and I'll get my money back, I'm only disappointed because he's the one who sells Tamiya 2009 english catalogue; now I have to find it elsewhere ;)

Comedy keeps going.

I started a claim via PayPal. No reply from "our friend". So I asked him if he did really ship item; he answered with another fake tracking number (it refers to another shipment already delivered in Italy). This drove me totally upset, so today I decided to turn claim into complaint.

I suddenly received from "our friend" an email: "Hello can you get this email ?" :D

I don't know what he is trying to do, but I will not reply to this email: he'd better contact me via PayPal or, at least, ebay, so staff can see what he tells.

Anyway, my opinion is that "our friend" is used to get registered mail fee and sends items using cheaper ordinary air (or, worse, surface) mail. That's his trick...

Keep everything under paypal communication. This way, it is documented and can be accessed by the mediators. With so many complaints from this seller, you'll get your money back.

He has so many tactics under his sleeves in order to make you wait and prolong your waiting time. If the time is up, you can't file anymore for refund.

Let us know how it goes.
