I was watching an old episode of Srapheap Challenge the other day, it was the episode where they were building R/C aircraft to bomp a target... anyway I am sure that I saw a Clod Buster and a Mad Bull amongst the parts on the workbench.

I was watching scrapheap challenge the other day and saw them chopping up KAWASAKI Z1!!!!!!! Couldnt belive my eyes when i saw it. The front end was chopped off but it was still worth quite alot and had alot of really rare parts on, still nothing compared to my dads z900 a4 though.

Oh and in the first childs play film the kid had an rc10 (the gold chassis one) in his toy box.

Well heres a couple more entries.....

Saw Transformers2 today, and there is a Tamiya High Lift which transforms into a small, steathly decepticon. Features in quite a few scenes too....(very funny!)

also, caught an episode of American Hotrod, with Boyd Connington, where all the mechanics visit Team Losi and race Mini-t's around a cool looking track!

Kind Regards

I just got home form watching Transformers 2 as well... looked like a heavily modified HL... had a different chassis... could see from it's side in one scene... (the Transformer is Wheelie)

http://teaser-trailer.com/2009/06/wheelie-...sformers-2.html clip doesnt show the truck mode though....

what movie is it where a guy drives a nitro R/C car under vehicles to blow them up and assassinate the occupant? it has a very long R/C and real car chase scene where the driver of the R/C car is fallowing the R/C car and it's victim in another car.

and inspector gadget has R/C stuff in it.

I remember watching Punky Brewster when I was young. I don't know if this show was ever aired in the UK. I had a vauge memory of an episode when Punky wanted to race her RC car she won in a drawing at a local hobby store.

Punky Brewster: Girls will be boys

The show is so ridiculous  ....but there are so many vintage Tamiya models. :P

Really fun to watch, thanks for sharing the episode LiveSteamMad.

Were the cars sponsored by Tamiya or MRC?

Have a Happy New Year, folks!

Night at the Museum (the first one), Steve Coogan and Owen Wilson as the miniature Roman and cowboy characters 'drive' an RC Hummer to chase the villains. There's no explanation given as to how the drive it without a radio though.

There's another bit in the same film where he uses a RC vehicle to drag a bone around for the dinosuar skelton to chase. Not sure if it was the same vehicle though, haven't seen it for a while.

So I did a search in here to see if anyone has posted and I didn't seem to find anything. About 15 years ago, a die hard tamiya guy I knew in Southern California infomred me of a movie called "The Manhattan Project" in which a Brat is used to smuggle Plutonium; and here all I use it to do is carry strawberries that I buy from the guy on the corner.

Here is a link to the scene though it is featured earlier in the movie when the main characters are getting it rear for the heist.

http://youtu.be/FpX-EhNfDzY

The Car is either a Brat with Frog/Hornet tires and wheels or a Frog with a Brat lid. It does have head and tail lights installed (on a third channel) and notice in the close up scene, the drivers head moves. Boy were RC cars huge in the 1980's.

This is actually a good movie, I genuinely like it. Plus, I like the red Ford Escort GT (US Model mind you) that is used in it and John Lithgow stars as well. I think the female lead is also in Sex and the City so your wives or girlfriends may enjoy it.

I said MAY, not will.

Enjoy!
