i just won a bandit on ebay. do they have any inherant weaknesses? what motor can they handle? i know it comes with a 20 turn but will it take an 11 double. its about 15 years old according to the seller

Bandits are pretty tough. They use the same gearbox as the Rustler and Stampede, so they'll handle pretty much anything you can throw at it. They sell that car now with a brushless motor, with steel transmission gears. If you needed to, you could add those gears to yours. But it's really tough stock. If it's old enough to not have a slipper clutch, you should think about adding one.

by the look of the ebay pictures its not got a slipper clutch. any ideas how old that would make it? how can i date it when it arrives?
