Hello all, can anyone give me the details of the shock they used for the 3rd shock mod on the Lunchbox? I just rebuilt my gearbox using ballraces, fitted a replacement motor and did the shock mod at the same time. The clunking has definately gone but so has the fun of the crazy wheelies, the good ones only come when shifting from reverse to forward. Cant help but think the shock i used isn't quite right. I now want to experiment with a new one but want to know what people are using. Am i right in thinking these will come in sets of 4. If so, does anyone want to sell me what i need?

While i'm on a roll, what oil dampers do yo recommend? Might give these a go while i'm at it. Have seen some annsmann ones on modelsport site, anyone use these?

 Thanks, Mitch

It should wheelie slightly better with the 3rd shock added, even with a stock 27 turn motor.

I used a standard tamiya short shock, which is the yellow one tamiya recommended for the original truck. I've also fitted those all round.

Are your tyres all glued to the rims? What motor did you install?

Yes, it should wheelie better. I used the current CVA shock that is widely used in touring cars. It's the "re-re" hop up listed in the new Box box and manual. The black ones. I've got lots of those sitting around. I kept the stock friction spring dampers on the corners. With a 27 turn stock motor it's the perfect balance.
