Well Evo Be The Next Egress/avante?

So who thinks that the EVO will be worth about the same as an Avante/Egress some day? I know that it wasnt as popular as the TF so there are not alot of them. Will it be worth alot some day? It is as exotic as the Egress though not as sexy. JUst wondering, Ill never sell mine however.

I have box, instructions, carbon prop shaft x2, carbon fiber shock towers x2 F&R, every Rw racing spur gears , idler gears and pinions.

I think the Evo will climb in price and be an important part of Tamiya history (it already is), but I don't think it will reach Avante/Egress levels. The Avante seems in a different class altogether as it was Tamiya's first ultra engineered, mega expensive competition 4wd. The Evo is closer to an Egress, but again the Egress was the first to use all those exotic materials in one car. Just look at the Sand Scorcher/Rough Rider and the Super Champ. The Super Champ was better engineered and a better car much like the Evo, but its not "the first". Sometimes simply being "the first" means more to collectors than actually being a better car. Just my two cents.

Mad racer I got my EVO for a bargin, it didnt have a body, wheels, or prop shaft. But other than that it was a steal. I already had the EVO parts to convert my rere to an EVO so I just aplied the ones needed to the EVO ie the body/decals and wheels. It all comes down to looks too. Most people seem to be in agreement that the Avante simply looks amazing but the Top Force in any guise still splits opinion, some people hate its futuristic looks no matter how jazzed up it is.

Thanks for that. I think i have a very good example of the EVO.

It must be remembered that the evo was the 100th model tamiya realised.

I will hang on to mine as long as i can but may sell all the Rw racing gears and some other stuff.

Yeah I would keep it, but it isnt the 100th it is number 107, the TF is number 100.

In other news for the speculators... The re-issue Top Force NIB is already beginning to climb in price. One recently sold on the 'bay for $285. There was quite a limited run on that re-re kit it seems.
