So after the last proposed Reading Bash was cancelled due to poor weather, a new date for the postponed Reading Bash 7 has been set - 17th Febuary 2008, starting at 12 noon as usual.

It's a good chance for TCers to meet, chat and drive with fellow R/C enthusiasts. We're all a very friendly bunch, and really enjoy meeting new members. You can bring any cars / parts you have for trade or sale aswell.

So where is it? Well, along Caversham Park Road, Reading (Postcode RG4) there are Caversham Park Village Tennis courts with a car park. The turning into the car park is a few hundred yards away from the tuning (on the other side of the road) into Fraser Avenue. If you put Fraser avenue into something such as http://maps.google.co.uk/, you will see Caversham Park road and using the satellite feature you can see the tennis courts/car park.

We'll be meeting in the car park at 12, but should you turn up later, here's a quick map of how to get to where we'll be running our cars:

rblocation7dy.jpg

You walk through the car park, past the skate park along a narrow dirt track. Keep going past the first line of bushes, until you reach the woods. We'll be right infront of you on the edge of the woods, by a big bowl.

For more info/pics of previous bashes, see the Reading Bashers SIG here: http://tamiyaclub.com/sig_member.asp?id=21

If you're thinking of coming, let me know by popping your name down in this thread.

Look forward to seeing you all

Allie.

Driveshafts for what mate? yeah I know, I kinda had a change of direction. again. None of my projects will be ready by then, but I still fancy coming along. Might get a cheap something or other just to play with. (ahem!)

driveshafts for my support truck, namely 1 highlift one and 1 from the pajero xc.

Might I suggest something like a touareg or perhaps a cheap buggy,

I know It's very un-Tamiya of me but I fancy a brushless stampede...

Also a frog could do it for the cheapness side of things?

Anyone got anything to sell me? I'm very easily lead :)and have about 60 spare at this moment (isn't it funny how money in you paypal account seems worth alot less than money in your hand or bank account?!)

And sorry can't help on the driveshaft side of things

Ryan, the closest postcode I can get is RG4, but that's not very accurate. Stick Caversham Park Road in you sat-nav as that's the road with the tennis court car-park where we're meeting at 12.

Cars I'm bringing:

Fox the faithful

Crawler

Pumpkin

XC

Possibly Mini

Unfortunately, Rad can't make it. But Stu, one of the Reading Bash founders, will be there. Good to see him back.

Here we are then, better late than never, I've done the video from the bash. I've had to put it on YouTube as I can't get TC hosting to work.

Link to video in my showroom: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/moviecomment.asp?id=3095

Link straight to YouTube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nftwFasBx34

Tried to capture the day as well as possible, don't think it turned out too bad. Watch the vid right to the very end.
