Skysaxon 1 Posted February 20, 2008 What's this 'Seeding' thing?? Seeding means that someone who is not the releaser of the torrent is sending the file to - thats how p2p works!! At the moment Im the only person which is seeding - what a shame guys - anybody left until he finished his own copy.
Stefan(2) 89 Posted February 20, 2008 Actually still have it online, and was seeding it But when re-opening qtorrent, it starts to download again from 0.0 ( and the original .iso is still on the hd, at the same place i downloaded it ) Deleted the torrent file, and re-downloaded & installed the one provided by pagedm_f350 "still nothing" anyone got a idea how to "rebind" it to the file on my drive??? Stefan
pagedm_f350 3 Posted February 21, 2008 A seeder is anyone that has the completed file and has it 'seeding' uploading. I think a partial seeder (someone who is downloading and uploading the file but does not yet have the full file) is called a leecher..... I can see that there are 3 users still seeding the ISO, I have and still am seeding the original file from both work and home. anyone got a idea how to "rebind" it to the file on my drive???Stefan I know with uTorrent you have to 1. Stop (not delete) the torrent, then 2. Right click the torrent and select Set download location, you locate the file (RC2000.ISO in this case) then start the torrent again. Bingo, it does a check on the file and starts seeding it.

Tipsy 7 Posted February 21, 2008 Slight lack of folk sharing this file out at the moment. one Seed only
Wireless 34 Posted February 21, 2008 Can someone tell me how to seed this thing using BitComet...? I've got a high speed Internet link at home (20MBit/s down and 1MBit/s up, uncontended) so am happy to punch this file out for a while. Despite being a techy and one-time netadmin for an ISP, I am not big into this torrent downloading malarkey so really don't know how it all works. Cheers, Roop
Skysaxon 1 Posted February 21, 2008 Slight lack of folk sharing this file out at the moment. one Seed only Dont worry I will Stay and seed. Ive got a highspeed i-net conection and gave this file an unlimeted upload speed - so the only limit is your own. At the moment there are 2 conectors which have an download speed around 10kb/sec each. If someone else would seed it would be great.
egandolfo 0 Posted February 21, 2008 Super!!!!!!!!! Thanks for this present. It could be a good idea to share some information such as Tamiya instruction and other. I try to load a test file: Avante 2001 Manual. If someone want to try the torrent... and tell me if it works. My provider does not allows to host torrent file directly, so I uploaded it as a zipped file. Download the zip file, open it ant inside there is the torrent. Everithying is legal because on Tamiya website you can download the same file. http://nuke.goemon.it/Portals/0/Torrents/5...%202001.pdf.zip Or http://nuke.goemon.it/Portals/0/Torrents/5...chigold.pdf.zip Tell me if it works. 58085_Avante_2001.pdf.zip 50290_Techigold.pdf.zip

Stefan(2) 89 Posted February 21, 2008 Seeding again, thanks for advice. Mhhh, thinking of it.. "we" could do this with more stuff, scans of decals & stuff like that. On the other hand, just a mather of time before another guy starts flogging them on ebay then Stefan
Skysaxon 1 Posted February 21, 2008 Seeding again, thanks for advice.Mhhh, thinking of it.. "we" could do this with more stuff, scans of decals & stuff like that. On the other hand, just a mather of time before another guy starts flogging them on ebay then Stefan The Idea isnt bad BUT there is one problem - you might get a torrent database, but who is seeding all the time? Most of you think with getting the torrentfile you get the rest too, but this is definitly wrong. The torrent just gets you in touch with other who share the file, so there should be one or better more who is seeding all the time. Better would be a solution to pack all this stuff on a server and give the link to anybody - but who pays the server?
