Twin Battery Chassis

Ok liking the look of the twin battery chassis so which one should i get and where can i get it from???

should i build my dual hunter up first so i know what i'm dealing with? and is there anything else i need?

also will the old shell fit? i already have bearings and two good 3700mah batterys.

I don't think i need anything else? correct me if i'm wrong?

if i upgrade the batterys and esc what am i looking at cost wise?

Also are there any build guides anywhere to refer to?

I was just building up to the same question - will be ordering a twin-battery chassis soon but not sure which one to go for. I'm really tempted for the Machette chassis from demonicdesigns, but not sure if there might be a long lead time and need to check if it comes with all the required parts for the battery mounts. I know somebody else recently built a carbon chassis but had to fabricate some battery parts.

Cost-wise, for the electronics, you can get the HPI speedo from an E-Savage for about 40 new, and the motors are about 6.99 each. Try apex models (www.apexmodels.com) for prices.

I like to own one of those machetti chassis by demonic design. Looks really cool.

Since you like a dual battery set up. You will be needing a twin motor / twin battery configuration ESCs...like the EVX, EVX2 (the one BTMR installed), the one in HPI E-Savage like Mad Ax mentioned and novak super duty ESC. Think there are some more out there, but not sure. Since you have ball bearings and 2 batteries. I guess, you just need the ESC and some oil filled shock. Decide which chassis you would go for.

Thanks 4wdmt. Yes, this is actually going to be run ! One of the few I will. It's a complete rebuild of the young fellas Twin Detonator for his 11th birthday this month so I anticipate he will drive it like a wild man . I'm actually really looking forward to seeing it run. Not a typical shelfer for once.

yeah mine will be run for sure but i guess i got a lot of work to do on it first and waiting for parts

whats the tyipical difference between the carbon fibre ans the ally chassis?
