I had one for a while and liked it.

How about getting parts for it.The car has been a phased out over here in Japan, but you should be able to get part sin Europe still.

There are a few other buggies you can get for around the same dirt cheap price. You can go with the Classic Grasshopper,or the Super fighter G.

All three of these cars are nice,Only the Grasshopper is a bit slow.

How about your TL-01? Is it going all right?

yeah the tl 01 is going like a treat!!! the motor burnt out on it the other week but i replaced over the weekend with everyone's help on TC. I didnt have a clue what to do as its my first tamiya.

Ok basher. Not agile but pretty tough. You probably want some oil shocks for hop ups. The only other problem is the steering slop. I believe someone did a mod for it on the old forums. Maybe do a search for it.

The Mad Fighter is just an update of the old Grasshopper/Hornet concept, swing arms in front and a solid axle in the rear. Personally, I like the re-issue Hornet for best value/fun in that class; its direct steering is less sloppy that the Fighter's setup, and it comes with an ESC and oil shocks for the rear. And IMO, it looks a lot cooler.

All of these cars are pretty primitive, but they're so light that they can be quite fast with a standard 540, and they're tough as nails. Tons of fun to drive, as long as you don't expect handling miracles.

put mad bull tires on it and pretend you're invincible, 'cause you will be

[except for secret lamp posts at full throttle; they truly are invincible vs. rc car. i speak from painful/expensive experience. LOL]
