Tyres For The Dyna Storm

Hi all, Does anyone know what modern tyres will fit the Dyna Storm. I will be building one soon, and was wondering if the tyres off the desert gator will fit. If not, has anybody any idea what modern tyres that are currently out there on the market will fit. I've had a look in the usual places such as modelsport and fusion hobbies, but I cant figure out if anything is suitable .

any decent 2.2" tyres should fit.

i have the star dish wheels on my sdand viper with a set of schumacher minipins, looks great and works fine.

The rear tires of the Desert Gator are a reissue of the Tamiya Square-Spike hop-up tires and are a listed hop-up for the Dyna Storm. They will fit the Tamiya rear Star Dish wheels perfectly. Your other option for OEM tires are the oiginal spire spike tires from the Dyna Storm. Other than that, any 2.2" tire will fit, but most likely will require gluing.

For the front you get several choices. The Desert Gator ones will fit perfectly along with Super Hornet, and Dyna Storm/Astute. Plus any aftermarket 2.2"...

I raced a Dyna storm a couple years ago. I used Losi tapper pins in the rear and a basic 3 rib for the front. I would recomend Losi or ProLine tires over the hard rubber spikes Tamiya offers.

I agree. The only thing the Tamiya tires have over nice aftermarket ones is the fact that they don't have to be glued on. Pretty much only good for bashing though.

PS: Don't run those Tamiya Spikes on-road or they will go bald extremely quick...
