For the seriuosly fun option, they should rework the Touareg chassis in to a trf style super dakar off roader with a bowler wildcat shell.

seriously if you've never seen one of these things move, they are incredible, check the link. :)

watch til the end!!

I would like to see a Competition grade 2WD off road racing buggy. A 2WD thats equal to the TRF 501X 4WD. The DT-02 MS is not quite there. As far as a re release, how about the Sand Scorcher. I always wanted one!

I'd like to see:

Some real stealth muscle: 2007 BMW M3 in black or C6 Z06 Corvette in camel yellow on TB02/TA05 chassis. Just OEM production models - no motorsport racers please.

1960s muscle: Dodge Challenger or Plymouth Barracuda, 1968-1969 Mustang, using HPI's vintage wheels and tyres.

Some beauty: Two tone Kharmann Ghia on M04L chassis and a Fiat 500 (original) with chrome bumpers on M03 chassis. At least a re-re of the Abarth.

Some motorsport: Focus '07 WRC on rally chassis, or on the TB02D chassis - c'mon Tamiya - Ford has dominated rally for 3 successive years with the new Focus, and all we seem to get is another uncompetitive Impreza body! Subaru haven't won in a long time. Otherwise the 2007 Citroen.

Trucks: A Kenworth bonneted prime mover - W900. This would sell like hotcakes. Or a licenced Peterbilt 389. The Peterbilt 359 (King Hauler) is ancient. The prototype Freightliner Coronado was a flop when launched, while the Ford Aeromax is 15 years old.

Trailers: A Euro style modern tanker. Update the body for a modern chemical trailer.

No more Tamtechs!

On the wacky side:

The Delorean from Back to the Future with injection molded details - this would look so cool with a big 10 channel radio on a rainy night in 1985...

Mad Max (XC Falcon) Interceptor

1/6 scale TXT-2 (with bigger balljoints!)

VW Safari style split window Kombi on M04L chassis

1960's F1 chassis & body type cars :P:):)

Tube shapes, no wings, outboard suspension arms.

Could use the arms from the F201 as a starting point, wld need to fit the motor inline. THAT would make a BEAUTIFUL R/C model!

Revising my original listing:

More 1:10 FWD touring cars - an FF03, perhaps? Not M-chassis, but proper saloon size, with proper tub chassis like the FF01 and proper hop-ups. I know they'll never be as competitive as 4WD touring chassis, but that's not the point.

A RWD 1:10 touring chassis. Again, I know it won't compete on the track, but with correct balancing it could still be a fun and capable performer. Something that sits between the F103-GT and the M04 - something that isn't designed for uber-smooth carpet tracks, but is a bit more advanced than a heavy box-chassis with friction shocks.

In fact these two chassis would make a brilliant race series - either as individual events (FWD, RWD) or as an open 2WD class. I personally think it could be as much fun as M-chassis racing.

I love my M03 but I'd like a "better" version. Something built with better quality and precision. I don't have any high end tamiya's at the moment but I am guessing they don't have the sloppy steering and suspension that my M03 has.

I would love to see the new btcc vectra on a new revised fwd chassis just like the old btcc cars Tamiya used to make .

I love the Volvo 850 moneo and the Audi A4.

I also would love to see a new Focus wrc car and a real rally chassis.

More rally cars on "proper" shaft-driven rally chassis - the TT01 is NOT a rally chassis!

Agreed! more rally on at least TB-01 spec chassis, how about a new rally chassis???

Honestly, I have not read one suggestion yet I did not go "oh yeah, that would be cool"

My top votes so far are:

Any of the current supercars .... Audi R8 with LEDs, heck yeah!

Vintage Formula cars, absolutely

Basically everyones suggestions so far!

What about a Koenigsegg CCX (with Top Gear rear spoiler) on the TA05-IFS chassis (mouth watering) :D

I'll hang on with Miga and WRC, an enclosed (new) rally chassis with variable and good ground clearance; splash and dust proof (well, almost) B)

And Land Rover; XC style and 3-speed! and Land Rover again... :D

Phew! Lets have it Tamiya!

I must be mad, but I'm thinking of opening a Tamiya specialist shop...

I would love to see more M chassis bodies, and maybe also a trf415 kind of competition chassis on m scale, and that you can build it for either RWD, FWD or 4WD, and with the three wheelbases included.

I would also like to see a car that has an adjustable wheelbase without replacing any parts (so that you untighten a couple of screws, slide the wheelbase longer or shorter and tighten them again), and maybe even adjustable width (I already designed such systems for a tamiya kind of car on paper, adjustable length is no problem, but adjustable width is. It will mean that moving parts like drive shafts or some parts in the dif will need to be able to increase or decrease length to still work. And making spacers for the width can be only used on the rear, and it wil decrease strength and reliability).

Also, what I called above will more be a sort of hobby chassis, and just not competitive enough compared to the other chassis of tamiya. But still, I would love to see that happen since I am a big fan of especially the M-chassis cars. And for the different body heights, you can make body posts that are adjustable in height, so you don't get the body posts coming out of the holes of the body too far.

And finally, I would want a chassis that could have 2.5cm or so ground clearance, but without having a wider chassis than for the regular lexan bodies (180-190-200mm). This will mean it can run over very rough terrain. But when you want to drive on-road, you want a low centre of gravity, so the chassis should be adjustable in height. This will mean you will have to be able to adjust the height that you put your shock towers at, and with that you also need shocks that you can majorly adjust in hardness without replacing the springs on your shocks. This chassis will also need very narrow difs, so the suspension arms can be longer, so that the drive shafts can still turn in their U-joints.

And now I've written it down, I want to build one myself... who knows a company that (as cheaply as possible) molds plastic parts or cnc's alu parts within the netherlands?

As i live outside the box i'd like to see Tamiya build a nice scale Superstox, metal framed all the trimmings

I know You can get a Mardave one sort of and a huge one too.

But something in between would be great, but it would need to be tough as nails!

Id like to see a 2008 model BMW 325i M-Sport the same as my big toy outside !!

It would be sooo cool to turn up in mine and then pull a 1/10th scale of the same car out to race.he he he.
