Well I just finished restoring an Avante and it was a blast!!!!!!!!! Only thing it needs are the wheels/tires and bodyset/decals which I have ordered. I think I am done colecting. The cars that I have: Avante, Astute, Monster racer, Frog, Top Force and EVO. The Astute and TF I have doubles of as I ran them when I was a kid. I had to buy a rere TF so I could relive some memories same for the Astute. The Avante I just bought becasue I always wanted one. But now I think I am done. Yeah I'd love to have a Dyna but only if one pops up that isnt already built or 600 nib. So how about you guys, ever think you could be done colecting?

Yeh, Ive done this several times, but each time I do, I end up finding something else I want... LOL.

I have cut down though.. I am really struggling to come to terms with the prices that some items are selling for on eBay at the moment.. I'm not sure if the times have changed, if its inflation, or just that there is more and more people out there collecting old Tamiya's, and that is driving the prices up..

Dont panic though, I'm sure that you will find something else that you want very soon... I know I will... LOL.

Well... I just started collecting :P Since I bought an M02M and restored it, I can't/don't want to stop. I am working on an SRB at the moment, after that I want a front wheel drive chassis (preferably a NIB Renault Clio) and after that I would love to have a new built or NIB Fiat abarth next to my Alpine.

And if I complete my SRB project, it may happen that I change my taste of cars, and want off-road stuff (because there are plenty of cool buggies etc. out there)...

Let's say... In the summer I have loads of time (and hopefully with my job enough money) to do this (due to no school  )... And I guess I stop collecting when my room gets too full (which it isn't yet... I can still put a car on the tower of my computer, I have 2 display cases which one of them could be used for more cars, and so on)...

So, my conclusion; You can stop with collecting... the question is, do you want to?

I had a break due to work commitments for nearly 18months. I didn't buy a single Tamiya thing. Slowly though the collecting has started again and I am just about up to 100 kits.

I drift in and out but it will always be a passion. I still don't have a 1/14 scale truck in my collection, the new crawler looks good, so does the panther G and the 911 VIP.

It never ends....
