I am currently restoring a Footwork F1 (F102) car and I want to put new tires on it. The original tires are discontinued so I am wondering if anyone have some idea on what tires to use, sponge or rubber tires doesn't matter. The car originally came with sponge tires, but my car has rubber tires on the rear wheeles and (worn) sponge tires on the front wheeles.

Thanks for your help,

Karl

I have one too. You dont see that many Footworks around. Du är från Sverige va?(you are from Sweden)I sure could use a couple of new tyres too. And my front spoiler is too low and drags along the ground a bit. Perhaps its been stored in a bad way. Did you get the Acoms AT-5 esc with it?

Yupp, I'm from sweden too! (hej, hej! [:D]) It didn't come with an ESC at all when I bought it, but I bought it used on the other hand.

I have the same problem with the front of my car, I think it is because my front tires are worn down, so that is why I am looking for new ones. I really hope I can find some....

Motile Model Developements here in England will (would?) cut you some new sponge tyres to your size/specification. Cheap too!

I only know their phone number tho, 012 8269 1665

Thanks for the tip. I looked around on the internet and found that there are sponge tires made for the F201 chassie cars. With some luck I might be able to use the rear sponge tires for the front wheeles, I only have to cut them a little since they are a a couple of milimeters too wide. I have ordered them and I hope to get them next week. I'll let you know how it turns out. [8D]
