Hi the DF01 is a TA01 . Tamiya changed the name as the TA01 is out dated so instead of changing the chassis they just changed the name genius I know. LOL.

So all the hop ups for the Hummer (TA01) hop ups will fit the DF01.

Except the DF-01 existed before the Hummer as the name of the buggy chassis used for Blazing Star, Manta Ray etc. I think the wheelbase on the hummer cayenne is longer than the TA but apart from that very similar. Hummer and Cayenne seem pretty much the same though so whatever fits a Hummer should fit a Cayenne.

The Hummer chassis does differ from the TA-01. The suspension arms are longer, and canter back, giving it a 15mm wider track, and a longer wheelbase. Longer than the DF-01.

I have this very same confusion. I thought the blazing star had a veyr similar chassis to a ta01/02, but then I looked and saw the wheelbase was 2cm longer. And also, the suspension was wider (but that's no problem, that's just a matter of buying other susp arms and drive shafts) but with a shorter wheelbase youll also need a shorter main drive shaft and chassis tub to get to the standard wheelbase and width.

But they are all quite much the same. I am only not sure what wheelbase the cayenne has, it might be the longer one, looking at _miga_'s cayenne in his showroom. And as I also said, the TA01/02/DF01 has been for sale in different widths, too.

I've looked on the site of tamiya and the hummer officially has a 28cm (the longer one) wheelbase and a width of 20,5cm (that's in between the buggy and the regular TA01).

I used to run a SuperStock RZ with speedtuned gears in my Hummer. I had the hardened propshaft and full bearings also. It was fast but top heavy. The same setup with the Cayenne should be nicer, faster and less prone to roll.

Btw, i like the rims color and the scheme overall. But not many seems to share that, especially regarding the rim color.

Why should that setup work better on the Cayenne? (It isn't any lower than the normal hummer, and probably also less wide. And the hard body doesn't make the centre of gravity that high I think)? And I don't like the cayenne itself... :) But black and orange are fitting colours... Although I would rather make an orange car with a black/dark grey/silver racing stripe and black/dark grey/silver rims...

No, its not like its going to be a touring car racer, but the lowered cog should help. The Hummer shell is quite heavy. Should it be less wide as you say, then the lowered cog wouldnt help that much.
