When I joined tamiyaclub in 2004 the forum was different and if I remember correctly there was some kind of member number back then as well. But that number is not the same as I've got now. When I log in on the main page (tamiyaclub.com) my username is shown in the top right corner along with a number (#3445). I've always thought that was my member number. But on the "new" forum it says member no.: 4,911.

Is the old number a showroom/subscriber number and the new number the actual member number?

I've also noticed that many of the old members have very high member numbers as well. In fact it doesn't make sense to me that the owner of this site (netsmithUK aka. Chris) should be member no.:1,003

I'm not sure why there were extra numbers in the forum numbers, but the showroom number is your proper membership number. The forum numbers got out of sync when the forums were moved. I think it's probably because there were members of the forums who weren't members of the club, so the new forum numbers were incremented quicker...

your TC 'showroom' number should be in the 'from' field - as on the old forums that linked back to your showroom.

When these forums went live, everyone had to re-register, so I guess that number is a reflection of when that happened
