garry 1 Posted March 9, 2008 Can the settings be changed so the forum doesn't automatically change multiple captial letters to lower case ones in thread titles? For example, if someone posted: "TT01, TB02, TFRF415MSXX and DT02 for sale" the forum would think the user is spamming with loads of capital letters and change it all to: "Tt01, Tb02, Trf415Msxx and Dt02 for sale" It makes the forum users look pretty stupid, like they don't know how to type a model number properly. Edit -- Just noticed that it adds a capital to the start of every word in the thread title too! Whats the point?
TWINSET 1793 Posted March 9, 2008 As far as I'm aware, it's to stop implied 'SHOUTING' in the titles, and as such, it's an on or off thing, not a variable. The capitalising of the first letter of each word is referred to as 'Title Casing' and as that's the 'title' of your thread, the capitals are imposed automatically
jwrAMC 0 Posted April 3, 2008 I have to agree this feature is rather annoying. If it can't be adjusted to, say, apply only when 4 or more caps in a row are found, then I'd rather put up with the shouting... I.M.H.O.
