I do! Only issue is the 12V rail tends to be a little under 12V, which some chargers dont seem to like if charging larger batteries (9.6V), or charging at high charge rates. It drags down the voltage more. (LRP Comp)

your mileage will vary depending on PC PSU used... you'll get different response from each unit. Some need more load on the 5V line, others won't supply more than 5-6A on the 12V line, regulation goes out the window etc etc

good deltapeak chargers need a stable regulated voltage that doesn't fluctuate when the current rises; a modded AT/ATX won't do that properly. Chargers also like a slightly higher voltage eg 13.5-13.8V... not just 12V or below.

these days desktop switchmode PSUs that supply 13.5V 20A is so cheap, its not worth mucking about with old AT/ATX PSUs anymore.

I used to use a modified ATX power supply and it was fine, but I found that it wasn't as stable as the power supplies you can buy which are specifically for R/C chargers. That was a couple of years ago, when the cheapest proper power supply was about 80, but now I have a Pro-Peak power pack, which can provide 20A output. It cost about 30 and provides a much smoother and more stable output.

So my advice would be that if you happen to have a spare ATX PSU lying around you could give it a go, but personally I would go with a power supply specifically designed for the task.

I've just made one as my old power supply wasn't up to the job of charging my new Lipo, seems to work fine and only cost 15.

Thought the pro peak supplies were more expensive, if i knew they were only 30 i'd probably have gone for one of those. Although I've now got a nice 5v supply to power my comm lathe from the ATX PSU which you dont get with the pro peak supply.

Here's a pic of mine anyhow.
