My First Wild Willy M38 Resto

Recommended Posts

Well, I bought this Wild Willy M38 LWB from Mark aka Rammer and to be honest it definately wasnt a basket case as a restoration profect. Its my first anyway and so far its been a blast. I have managed to clean it up pretty well so far and thought I would share a few pics.

Thanks ;) So far so good. The main chassis and drive train should be straight forward. Just need to source some good tires :) and wait for Mr Tamiya to finally sort out his paint supply issue.

Will update with pics as I progress.

Got a bit further this morning. Just waiting for my Acoms AP-227 radio gear to turn up and I will fit it and finish it all off.

Coming along nicely now.

Wow! That looks like a built from a brand new kit. How did you make the black plastics to look so new? Did you repaint it?

A common item thats been mentioned on here with respects to cleaning plastic has been yhe use of "NOVUS" plastic polish. I used the #2 grade of the polish and its come up really well.
