Kamtech Bodies

I have been looking at a kamtech bodies recently and was wondering if anyone had any experience of them good or bad.the ones i have been looking at are abs so what are they like for painting and to standing up to abuse etc and how easy are they to fit?

I have the Landy and the RR shell in ABS and really like them. They are easy to paint and the lines for triming are easy too follow. They seem to hold up pretty well IMO.

thats a nice buggy and a very nice looking landy do they do a freelander body by any chance?

Painting will be much the same as any other hard body, and I don't see why the abs shells shouldn't be reasonably durable. The Land-Rover that I've got is about 1 - 2 mm thick so lightweight isn't something that can be expected though.

They're vac formed so don't expect Tamiya levels of detail and the series LR takes a bit of work to get something that is acceptably semi scale, properly scale would take a huge amount. I can't comment on the others as I've not seen them.

I got an Avante repro from Kamtec and the quality is as good as Tamiya. I live in the states and had the body in a week.
