yellow-dragon-70 Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 Right then, If you have looked at the Oxford Bashers SIG topic you will have seen that I have been trying to organise and Oxford Bash, well I have found us a superb venue for our bashing, it is the practice motoX track at Eynsham between Witney and Eynsham on the A40 The track we are planning to used is the kiddies practice track, which is absolutly perfect for running RC cars, with some nice high speed and shallow jumps, The paddock area is 90% short grass (kept short by little bunny rabbits aaahhh). there is a little bit of a gravel area, also, there is all the banks around the track which are fantastic for crawling and hill climbing. This venue is perfect for most types of RC cars, including rally cars, buggies, trucks, electric and nitro. Ive looked at my rota from work and Ive noted all the dates the track will be used on a Sunday. The dates are all Sundays (obviously) 27/4 4/5 18/5 1/6 6/7 31/8 The track owner has asked that donations to the Oxfordshire air ambulance are made rather than him being paid, so a donation of 1 will be asked from anyone using a car at the bash, which I think is superb considering this is a private venue that the public is not allowed access to, we will not be bothered by anyone, superb. In addition to the above dates, the track is available on most days and evenings apart from every Wednesday evening in the Summer, but as you can imagine, it is only a couple of us that have permission to use the track and have a key to the gate. Please let know if you are interested in a bash, Im not sure how to add a list of people to this link, Im not very good at this kind of thing lol :0 All are welcome It should be great fun. Cheers Gordon
*Topcat* Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 You can count me in. Just let me know what date is best and i'll try to work around it. ( I mean ask the wife!) I only live in Gloucester and don't really know of many good placea round here

Nitro's are fine, in fact its the perfect place for them. If you have any trouble finding it give me a call on 07866 973168 Gordon
Olly_Lunchbox Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Yep, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to find it. I'll bring a buggy for racing (if we do any) and a Lunchbox for fun

Jimbo Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 Guys, Not that I can make it, this might help, looks like it could be fun http://eynshampracticetrack.spaces.live.com/default.aspx
Olly_Lunchbox Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 That is a great link thanks Jimbo. If you look in the photos there's a little map showing EXACTLY where the track is. I must have been past it a million times and for anyone not too sure of the area don't worry, the A40 is extremely easy to find, it's literally a straight liine out of Oxford.
yellow-dragon-70 Posted April 19, 2008 Author Posted April 19, 2008 Hay Jimbo, thanks for that link mate, I guess I should have looked for something like that shame you cant make it though, maybe next time
yellow-dragon-70 Posted April 19, 2008 Author Posted April 19, 2008 I must be thick, but I had a bit of a job finding the map, derrrrrrrrrrrr this might help http://eynshampracticetrack.spaces.live.co...46D0FB!150/
Olly_Lunchbox Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 Here's the map! http://eynshampracticetrack.spaces.live.co...46D0FB!150/ Really hope the weather is good.

Trying to get Scalamon to come down with his collection but he'll probably be working. any idea on the weather???
yellow-dragon-70 Posted April 23, 2008 Author Posted April 23, 2008 11 am I reckon, that gives us loads of time. god only knows on the weather, I would never have guessed it was going to be raining when I got up this morning (Weds) after yesterdays fine weather my list is as follows Nitro Thunder Frog Losi XXX-T Losi XXX BK2 and maybe a WW2 if I came persuade Mad-Zero to send it in time
yellow-dragon-70 Posted April 26, 2008 Author Posted April 26, 2008 Well if I said I wasn't concerned about the weather forcast, I would be lying If it is piddling down with rain when you wake up tomorrow morning (Sunday) I would seriously consider not coming to the bash, The forcast says that the weather is going to be pretty bad in the morning through to the early afternoon, after that I think it is going to clear up. please please call me before you leave, if the track is too wet it wont be any fun at all, we do have another venue but it is a car park in an idustrial estate with a gravely part to it, and we do not have permission to use it, however, nobody is likely to give us a hard time if we use it. lets keep our fingers crossed for good weather Gordon 07866 973168
