On last week's Balls of Steel, the Pain Men (half of Dirty Sanchez) were using a Tamiya Hornet to inflict injury. The video can be found on youtube although it does contain plenty of swearing and some testicles.

It was on late last night - they used a Hornet and set it up a ramp into his head .... I liked the way they had to set the hornet on tracks to get it to go in a straight line. Was that a QD Monster Beetle in the background ???? Must admit do like Balls of steel but it's a bit risky, can see why it's on at 11 !!!!!

The tracks idea was good although I'm not sure about the claim it would do 35mph! I thought there was a QD Beetle in the background too, someone must like Tamiya there :)

not seen it in the f&f sure your not thinking about bad boys??? i may have to watch the f&f again just to make sure ,snake

it might have been bad boys but im pretty sure it was f&f...it could have been the f&f 2 but there is a txt in one of them :lol:

A free dvd of "Time Bandits" included with the Mail on Sunday features the infamous TC advert at the begining(the advert was shown in cinemas too) complete with little dog in the back of the HiLux!

I can't remember the exact details but I think it was about 10 years ago here in Australia McDonalds did a TV ad where a kid riggs a camera and speaker up to a Monster Truck and drives it to the local Maccas to order some food while he sits in his room controling it from a TV. I always remember it being a Clod Buster.

Also, some movie waaaayyy back in the early mid 80's had a Tamiya Audi Quattro, but I can't think of the movie.

Theres an ad on tv here for an insurance company called AAMI where a kid is sitting on the floor with a wall of Tamiya XB NIBs behind him. He is asking his parents to save money on insurance so he can have more rc cars.

First time i saw a tamiya on t.v was in the australian film "Malcolm", starring Colin Freils.

It was a sand scorcher with a trailer, and it was used to hold up a couple of bank security guards, at gun point!!!

Great film, with lots of r/c japery!!

The sand scorcher was also used to collect "Malcolm's" milk from his corner shop!!

The last time i saw a tamiya on t.v was watching "MythBusters" on t.v, it was a re-run of an earlier episode when they used a tt01 to re-create the Knightrider myth.

(can you drive a car into a moving trailer?)

AHAHAHAH, I loved that movie when it came out, thanks for reminding me, I will have to go find that one on DVD ;)

Yeah its a current one. The last time I saw it was about 5 minutes before I posted last (I saw it and then remembered this thread)

Herebemonsters ,sorry to hear of the tenner bit ,the dvd appeared out of the blue in the paper.

I also remember "Malcolm" with his little 1/1 yellow car...i almost wet myself when it split into two "motorbikes" to escape the cops down the narrow alley! :angry:

Yep, shot at Metro Hobbies in Box Hill in about October last year I think. I happened to walk in while they were shooting it.

Turned the whole shop upside down for the day......

As you can see on our site below the TXT-1 it was BadBoys II. They contacted us for a Monster Truck to strap a bomb to.

Last time Tamiya was on the TV in the USA was the F350 Highlift for a cereal commercial, of course they use our Tamiya vehicles on Mythbusters all the time!

Wow- Admittedly I watch a lot of TV, but haven't seen this one...

@ JAnderson -- Care to give us a hint on what cereal commercial it was in? I'd love to see if I could find a post of it on Youtube or some such ;)
