It wasn't a guess. The entire thing, with the exception of the rear shock location (to the roll bar) is AYK Sidewinder.

They sold components to a lot of small manufactures, like Ishipa, so it could be a clone.

I'd say the front end is Sidewinder/Gator, the rear end is not. The Gator gearbox is very square and blocky, and the rear shocks would be lying horizontal like the front ones. You can see my sidewinder here:

The rear arms are not Sidewinder. If that is a Sidewinder upper deck then it looks like it has been modified.

A larger picture might help to identify more.

The sidewinder had a similar shaped gearbox, with the mid motor. Rear arms look Kyosho Tomahawk. Probably why the shocks are moved.

Like I said, nope. Well at least not in terms of the entire thing.

Would it help if I said that the car is made up from parts from 3 different cars?

But, correct so far is that indeed front end is Sidewinder.

I had several PMs with guesses, and Terry SC got close enough, so here's the info

Sidewinder front end.

Tomahawk chassis, Scorpion rear arms

SRB (rough rider) gearbox turned around the other way and chopped a bit with a thorp diff in it.

One of many variations on a theme doing the rounds in the early to mid 80s in the UK.
