1- define "win"

2- what kind of racing?

3- surprised to hear no work about drivers abilities...

I'm not placing a bet...

Cool post idea!

As a die-hard Ford fan I am going to go with the underdog on this one, you never know ;)

How about some race coverage photos? Look forward to seeing the result!

if they're geared the same... i'll go with the TT01... 200g advantage can't be beat :)

Depends on driver skills. Unless you are both very handy, then I think the car will make no difference at all. Whoever can win with the TT will be probably be able to win with the TA.

I was bashing with a mate on sunday a m chassis versus a vintage kyoshos laxer ZX, yet its close racing because we are both pretty amature at driving.

have to go with the tt. 200g lighter with more efficient drive train(less gears). easy.

I'll say the TT01

The TA will strip the spur when he nails the brakes on the backstretch

Well the TT01 won tonight but only down to setup, the TA01 had the speed on the straights but the back end swung out too much and created massive oversteer. Im sure Qatmix will fill you in with the details.

Time for round 2 as i think with a few setup changes the oversteer on the TA01 can be dialed out a little but I feel the chassis is prone to being slightly back heavy causing it to swing around a lot more than the TT01.

Later

Bets are off until next Thursday :)

The ta01 had not raced indoors until tonight, so the suspension was waaaaaaaaayyyyyyy off. The car was either drifting or grip rolling.. this coupled with the batteries falling out of the chassis for EVERY RACE! made it a bit difficult to compare..

so Velcro was added to the cells/chassis and the damper oil / springs will be adjusted ready for the showdown.. Quick hint.. dont expect a rally tuned car (the escort was made for rally) to automatically work indoors by adding foams and lowering the suspension..

Anyone know where I can get a rear ta01 stabiliser set?

So keep the bets coming and get ready for a full race report of the showdown.. next week.
