What on earth are those small fiddely bits that screws on to the side/underside of the chassi supposed to be good for? Looks like a tiny arm for something but what? Transponder?

I'm not sure anyone except Tamiya knows what they are for :lol: I've seen this asked before and from memory there was no clear answer. You could always email Tamiya to ask them, I've done his before when asking about kits etc. they always reply and are usually very helpful. :(

According to the manuals, the Mazda are the last of the series with those fiddely-bits...

I always guess they were tie down tabs,

for looping a rubber band over to hold down a tub cover for driving in wet weather.

But the planned 'Wet weather cover' was never released.
