I have a cunning plan of action (so cunning you could brush your teeth with it!) that may make the 1st good for us. So dont worry about the date, what ever would be fine, hopefully B) .

I think the speed is not what she is after, were just bedding in a HPI MT-2 that is hers and I have a Great Vigor Mammoth that I have resuscitated from having a good sinking, moral of that story, dont let another friend drive something that you want to enjoy, ice and water underneath never a good mix.

She is just getting some fail safes for them now and some oil shocks for the Lunch Box and said a Hornet looks fun and now likes the idea of Tam Tech-Gear! Women, never know what they want, LOL (ducks incoming slap).

Was sorry to hear about you back Steve. Glad its sorted now, know what they are like!

Sorry to be a pain, Matt and the unsure one!

OK then, an update on costs and 1 pic as a teaser - got more but need to sort them

Ogmore is now Pay and Display - 3.50 for the day. That makes the cost for people from England go up even higher. 5.30 for the bridge and 3.50 for parking (plus from memory Merthyr Mawr is 1 if we decide to head there seperately). On that basis I understand if people want to forget about it.

Anyway, picture attached and more to follow in my Ogmore SkyDrive folder soon Some initial pictures now up

Steve

Not had much in the way of replies since I put the information up on parking (why did they have to do pay and display?!?! - it was only 1 on the gate previously)

Guessing it is going to cost most members too much to meet there (had one person tell me that they won't be there) so unless people really want to meet and let me know I guess it will be a cancellation and using the date at a another location.

All the best

We, are still up for it, it's getting difficuly around here to find a decent place to bash!

It will be a good day out and we are/were looking forward to it. Just to add, Karan has now gone and got herself a Beetle and my Lunchbox is looking good (not for long with my driving :) )!

Take care all, Matt and Karan.

Price is OK for me - I'll send out a Sig-wide message asking everyone to check the thread :(

Oh Suzy... The perfect rocks for a crawler and you aren't coming? :)

Well, an update from this end. My car is officially dead (yep, my lovely Audi). I have a private warranty, but they are messing me about badly. Basically I don't know when it will be fixed. On the plus side I can still use the wife's Fiesta, just limited on what I can bring. Therefore, I have no problem if people want to do it another time / scrap the day.

Hopeful attendees so far are:

Mad Ax

Lemming (and Mrs Lemming, and Baby Lemming)

Richytanimal (hopefully)

Our parents (hopefully)

Bag of Badgers (and his lovely lass)

Seems like a good turnout to me ;)

Anyway, still on for the 1st unless anyone wants to re-arrange.

All the best

Apologies peoples but I had a major disaster this weekend and won't be able to attend.

Not only am I missing the Tamiyaclub meet, but also cancelling my holiday that I had only just booked for the following weeks. All I have to say is *I hate citroens*

Hope to see you all soon.

Really sorry to hear you are having a rough time mate.

Actually beginning to wonder whether to call it off anyway. My parents probably can't make it and Rich is strapped for cash at the moment.

Only my family and Bad of Badgers (and missus) left. Maybe call it quits and look to the future for another meet wherever...

All the best

Dont talk to me about French cars; I know your pain, Swedish cars are just as bad :) !

After reading all the problems and looking at the weather for the weekend, Im starting to think the same.

Would it be good idea to postpone for a few weeks as it seems that many had date clashes, it would be a shame not to use the great looking area suggested.

Looking forward to any suggestions.

Matt and Kaz.

Re-scheduling the date seems a good idea to me too. I think the venue's a great idea Steve, but it does seem that we've lost a lot of numbers which would be a shame. Having originally suggested the date I now can't make it either !! Perhaps put it back untill something like the 29th June ? That might give people enough time to recover etc..

OK then, seems we are all agreed to leave it. The missus has convinced me that we shoud take them there anyway on Sunday and have some fun, so might even have a video of the terrain later next week!

Quite happy for people to look alternate at dates - I'm in Scotland on a camping / driving / walking holiday in a Land Rover G4 Expedition from the 10th for a week, so other than that I'm sure we can make most dates.

I'll leave it to you lovely people to look at what dates suit you all. Maybe worthwhile to submit the ones that aren't suitable and find the ones that are from that... Just a thought.

As another thought, you might have seen my recent E-Maxx video. It's from Gethin Park (which is about 15 mins from M4 J32) and has gravel, a rock strewn path (E-Maxx managed it, but anything smaller might struggle - proper big lumps of rock) grass (quite rough and rutted) and gravel to play on. Free parking too! It doesn't have any tarmac though, so on-road is out for there. Also got lovely pine trees that can be driven under - dead pine needles all over the place so amusing.

Another interesting feature is a serious jump. I do mean serious - only for those willing to risk the car! It's about a 3ft tall platform with a smooth(ish) path running to it. The other side (landing area) is rough as badword and has various paths branching off. Put it this way, I didn't even dare run the E-Maxx off it sa I was afraid of breakage.

Just adding Gethin Park as a thought in case people don't like the costs from Ogmore (and how busy it can get - can't see us all leaving cars out on display there - mind you, I never do).

My FTO bodyshells are due to be completed in the next few weeks, and I have just grabbed an FF02 to go with my FF01, so project FTO might make an apearance (or two) at the next on-road meet. Will also get my Ferrari 250 GTO (Kyosho Mantis) running again (currently missing electrics) as that is highly amusing to see running!

Hoping to service the Dyna Storm and brushless Top Force soon too. Be nice to run those again!

Anyway, all the best to everyone and looking forward to the next arrangement.

Steve

p.s. If any of you guys have a few seriously cheap spare ESC's kicking about please let me know. I'm going to need 1 for the new FF02 and another to get the Ferrari up and running. The Ferrari is a Kyosho motor and not sure on windings, but the FTO (FF02) will probably run a standard or SH motor

Ooo. I am really looking forward to seeing that! If it helps, you could use my 8.4v batteries with Traxxas connectors for a test run. Also got 2 of the chargers now, so can re-charge on the day easily enough. :P

Everyone up for the 29th then?

Steve

hmmm.... Now I have to get you a present, or I feel guilty! ;)

29th should be OK for me too. :)

Might even have my Audi back if I'm lucky. Repairs are now authorised although the claim is still in dispute. 50% offer so far...

Love to you all

Hi all,

Just looking for the time we are all meeting up. I was thinking about 11am (we will probably get there before that)?

Just got some 8.4v hump packs so will be trying to cycle them quickly  . (got adaptor to fit a tamiya plug to the packs for anyone that wants to try some 8.4v fun)

Any news on who is coming? Looking forward to meeting Wrc action and your Dad.

ATB Matt.
