Tamiya 'the Hornet'

Hi all,

I have a Tamiya 'The Hornet' radio controlled model car that I am looking to sell. It has not been used outside of the house, and is in full working order to the best of my knowledge.

It is fully boxed and includes - Car, Uniross battery charger, Nicad charger, Ni-cd battery, Manual (part english part chinese).

Just wanted to know if anyone can point me in the right direction to help me sell it. It seems a shame that it is just lying idle in the house, when someone else could be putting it to good use.

Any help and guidance will be greatly appreciated. If you need to know any more information on the car first, please do not hesitate to ask.

I am based in west london, near heathrow airport.

Ebay.co.uk or Ebay.com and there also is a trade section here on Tamiyaclub.

Most of the members here would be interested in knowing if it’s the original Hornet release (mid 1980s) or the Hornet re-release (couple of years ago). They are both similar with only minor differences. If it’s in really good condition the original would be worth the most but prices has dropped since the re-release.

The car is the original version, and not the re-release.

And it is near mint condition, as virtually unused.
