50g with spray knob, without the cap

have emptied quite a few PS cans in recent weeks... always wondered - so i started weighing them

so now you all know :o

and to save you from xraying the cans, yes there are TWO glass marbles inside to make it rattle

(not that xrays will piece the can nor pickup glass objects anyway, but i digress)

To continue on with the trivia.... So far all the glass marbles I have from my cans are either clear green or blue, an average seems to be one of each, sometimes 2 green, but none with two blue yet, the mind boggles why B)

I release the gas and drain all my empty spray cans to get the last bit of paint to use with airbrushing, on average after the can seems empty I get approx 10-15ml of paint extra ;)

do the blue marbles weigh more than the green ones, because it seems like they would?

AHAHAHAHAHA, funny stuff! :P I don't have scales accurate enough for that.... hmmm but the mailroom at work does B)

Hmm...I wonder what's in the Pactra spray paints. Doesn't it say "do not puncture or incinerate on the cans"? B) Kids: Do not try this at home. Willy is a trained professional. :P

Having tried both of those I will share my experience:

Puncturing cans - very messy, especially with full ones, I spiked a can of French blue once & had to redecorate my room !! :P

Incinerating cans - Think nailbomb or something equally vicious, these are shrapnel grenades & don't care who or what they shred.

I was lucky, the piece coming for me embedded itself in a tree, otherwise it could have quite easily sliced my face off & kept going. B)

Like Richie said - DO NOT try this at home.

This is what happens when we don't paint in a well ventiated room.

Kyosho and Tamiya are really the same company is like Lexus and Toyota.

I've weighed my box spanners.

Tamiya - 9g

Kyosho - 11.9g

Team Yokomo - 20g

Unbranded (but same as tamiya) 8.5g

How much data do you need to make the survey scientific?

Whats the best way to calibrate a set of bathroom scales?

;):D:D
