I just found these pics I had forgotten I had on my PC. thought I'd share them as I really love this little truck.

They are from about 5 years ago. I originally built it for my son who was 4 at the time. He picked the colors (sort of). It was really fun to drive until I upgraded it with one of my modified TC motors and stripped the gears. [:I]

I would lay a sheet of plywood on the trunk of my full size car and jump the entire car with it and land in my grassy yard. Over and over again. The neighbor kids loved this(and even some parents were in awe).

Through all the bashing my kids, the neighbor kids and I gave it, it just kept on running. Truly a great little runner and I'm glad I still have pics of it in it's glory days. I'll have to buy some new gears for it and put it back into service again soon!

Nice looking truck, did you paint the fade with an airbrush, or just a steady rattle-can? ...how do those things go? Are they pretty good offroad?

Yeah, I just did it with spray cans. [8D]

I brushed the black on by free hand first, you can see some of my squiggly lines on the tailgate. [:I]

My kids were outside playing while I was in the garage prepping to paint the body. I asked my son what color he wanted it and he said he wanted it painted like his popsicle he was eating. [:P]

He LOVED it when it was done! [;)]

They go pretty decently everywhere. I think they are an excellent all around runner. Strong, reliable, cheap, able to run on or off road with-out destroying the tires, runs across yards (grass) and even jumps pretty good.

I don't think it does any one thing top notch, but instead it does everything more than adequately. That makes for a FUN R/C vehicle. [:D]

Forgot to mention I trimmed the body below the trim line on the front to give it more of a body/bumper there.

I also installed the larger front bumper that comes with the kit (for buggies originally) by trimming it a little bit. The extra width saved the front suspension several times from sure disaster by beginner users. [;)]

Fantastic paint job and nice story. I'd like to see a movie of your car jumping :D Do you have any pictures of it after all the action?

I have a NIB F-150 sitting in the basement waiting to be built, and seeing your model makes me want to get started even sooner...

Looks nice but please put next time links to the photos or 56k modem user warning on the title as not everyone has broadband internet.

Cheers

Running at a wopping 28.8bps here and not having DSL available to me in my location I could think of SEVERAL things to say here.

Being new here and since you are admin, I think I will go with... Is it acceptable now? [:P]
