Tamiya Body Shell for TL01 Chassis?

Hi,

I'm looking for a couple of new body shells for a 2nd hand TL01 chassis that I bought but I don't know where to find them. I've found the full kits on tamiyausa.com but wondered if they were available in the UK as the body shells only.

The ones I like the look of in particular are the Supra, Evo, NSX and the Porsche 911 GT3.

Any ideas?

have you tried just searching the the net? have u tried your local hobby shop? if you dont come up with anything let me know and i will look for you[]

Thanks for the offer sub_sea. I'm not just being lazy, honest.[]I've searched on ktmodels.com, modelsport.co.uk, cmldistribution.co.uk, stevewebb.co.uk and goldstarstockists.com amongst others but can't seem to find any of the shells I'm looking for.[8)]

If anyone has any other suggestions of places to look please let me know.

Most hobby shops don't carry many or any Tamiya shells as they are far more expensive than their competitors. You could buy a similar (if less detailed) shell from HPI, Protoform or another company for around £18 while a Tamiya one would be in the region of £35-£40. You can get them a lot cheaper through ebay or an overseas hobby shop though. I would have a look at http://www.stellamodels.net, they have the shells and other parts much cheaper and the service is first rate.

Odd that. We have two of the four (911 and Supra) - see http://www.goldstarstockists.com/tamiyaparts/tpx/bodies.htm or even our parts shop area on this site. However, the NSX and that particular Mitsu body are both disc by Tamiya now - so not listed.
