Found my first real RC car! question on foam tires

well, I just came accross the first RC kit I ever bought...this is a rare kit from Revell, it's a 1:8 scale Jeep, looks pretty good and has nice details.

The kit I found now is half new built and half NIB...

the problem is this: It has foam tires and it has been standing on them for about 25 years... so they are "a bit" [8)] square.

Is it possible to get the foam back in its original shape?

If not, does anyone know where to get foam tires (this big)

i also got this one... - instead of my Sand Scorcher in the early 80ies.

it was from Revell, i guess.

The complete car is available at Conrad. www.conrad.de - maybe the tires are available too.

I think it’s the same Jeep, which was sold at Conrad. This Company produces the Kit (think so[?]). Normal rubber tires replace the foam tires. But they were already replaced some years ago, when the kit was available at Conrad.

Thanks Rudi! looks like it is the same body but a different chassis.... it looks like it has leafsprings in the front, mine does not have them...I could not find the tires/wheels separate on their site, just the complete kit.

Maybe this calls for another special project.... I just need to use that Jeep body []
