I had one and made it into a super monster beetle. It ran great and I kinda wish that i didn't sell it.

ok, so do you think it will handel a mamba max 5700?

I think you'll risk blowing the gearbox up.

I can't say its not worth trying, as I've got a 5700 kv powered midnight pumpkin, but thats got a big fat differential and no dog bone drive shafts to worry about. The thing with the super Blackfoot is that although the differential is stronger than the original Blackfoot's, it still relies on small metal gears that are not designed to operate at such high speeds. The pumpkins gears are all plastic and so the wear rate isn't as severe as the metal to metal contact within the super Blackfoot's differential.

i think the differential should handel it, it has the same diff gears as the blitzer beetle, and this guy is running a trinity n80, wich is a 8000kv motor. so it should hold up right?

question is why?

The front end will be in the air all the time.

It's gearbox I believe can handle it, but you can only use the 10 tooth pinion so forget about gear swaps to help keep things running right/cool.

Sure for a test run it would be pretty cool, but not for a runner because it would never turn with the front wheels in the air. The blackfoot series is light up front, and wheelies easy.

Well I have an absolute blast with my brushless pumpkin! People just don't expect all that power from a little truck, I can take on nitro trucks in a straight drag race and win, with a 1980's midnight pumpkin!!! ;)

Plus, you dont have to drive it fast all the time. It's quite happy going slow and normal speeds too. Just because the left stick is able to unleash mayhem doesn't mean i need to drive it flat out all the time. :)

The super blackfoot will no doubt handle better than my pumpkin does, I think it will be serious fun with all the extra speed at your finger tips.

If the gearbox will handle it, then I think you should go for it. ;)
