I am assuming that Associated use a different thread (to Tamiya and Kyosho) on the screws and bolts with the original RC10 kit. Can anybody tell me what the difference is? Also do the later RC10 revisions use the same thread - ie can I buy a load of screws for a B4 or T4 and they will fit?

Most of the hardware on the AE cars are 2-56 and 4-40. It's not metric, it's not imperial, it's something that the Americans invented, and has elements of each.

You'd be safe to get a bag of fasteners from a later Associated, as I've raided my T4's caddy for screws for my '89 World's Car.

The hardware is all UNC threads, most threads are 4-40 or 8-32 size. Associated sell sets of screws in each size, so you can buy whatever you want, check Tower Hobbies listings for the full range. Alternatively you can get small quantities from Modelfixings.co.uk without the big delivery charge.
