Decided to make a little modification on my High-Lift tonight. From the -many- things I never liked about this model, one of the most annoying ones was that battery compartment right down in the middle of the truck -you could see it a mile away! Well, I thought I should do something to solve it, after all, there's plenty of space to find a solution below the pick-up bed. So I give it a thought, drilled a couple of holes on the batt comp and then just bolted it on the chassis. You can now slide the battery from the left side and can even use the original lock part, but since that is chromed its a looker just on top of the rear left tire so I decided to use a piece of black plastic instead and bolt it on one of the battcomp orig holes. I can say I'm happy with the results.

How many of you tried similar solutions?

Y'all have a great day!

Mines well out of the way!

But it does fit lengthways between the chassis rails

By the way, why don't you put up some pictures of the custom interiors you do, Dready?

Best regards,
